The staff at The Cumberland Riding Fool Hostel is knowledgeable about the surrounding area and maps are available for mountain biking trips. Gorgeous hostel, very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Had everything we needed. Cute little guest garden where we sat and listened to a concert being hosted next door. Great community. Made me want to move in! I was really sad I only booked one night. Lots of interesting things to do around the place, amazing local trails, restaurants and a local museum. Highly recommend a visit to Cumberland and this hostel, it was one of my trip highlights.

A common living area with a full kitchen, TV, game room and library are available to all guests at the North Coast Trail Backpackers Ltd. The hostel offers storage for bicycles and kayaks. Anne the owner was very easy going and generous with helping us store our bikes/gear up until leaving for our ferry. Overall a very convenient experience. Room, community spaces, etc were all well stocked and clean. Thanks!

The property is non-smoking and is situated 6 km from Nanaimo Bastion. It was quiet and clean, a very nice break from the usual chaos of staying away from home.

A refrigerator is available in the brightly decorated guest rooms at Ocean Island Inn | Backpackers | Suites. Most rooms offer access to a shared bathroom whilst some have a private bathroom. Towels are available for a deposit. very nice room, bed with curtain and nice storage! clean bathroom and It was really nice to get the free dinner with other ppl in the evening in the hostel :) would definitely stay again!!

Simply furnished, each room at Painted Turtle Guesthouse comes with shared bathroom facilities. Linen and towels are included. A fan is provided. Welcoming reception even though I arrived few hours before check in official. Allowed to go to my room as bed was ready. Also changed room on request to a larger room. Also able to store my luggage over night as I didn't want to bring it up stairs.
