The rides in Outdoor Theme park were good. The queues were long. The SkyWorlds app was top class.
But their system of using the VR Queue (express Q) is quite perplexing. Some of the rides force you to use VR Queue option only.
I recommend that you use the app and book your VR queues early in the day, as there are limited slots for each ride.
I was unimpressed that none of the vendors at the outdoor park accepted cash payments or TnG card payment. They only accepted eWallet and Credit cards!! Even the food court at the outlet mall only accepted eWallet and Credit cards!
Cable car ride was breath taking and a must do. We did it two ways. But the waiting time can be quite long
.
Indoor theme park was not comparable with outdoor theme part, but the queues were much shorter, so there is more value for the time spent.

For those staying in Kuala Lumpur, the short drive up the mountain to Genting is a quick escape for a lovely short stay. Only remember to plan your stay - avoid weekends, public holidays and school holidays and you are in for a cool treat with fresh mountain air, great aerial views and a refreshing rewind.

It was a bit crazy trying to drive to Genting highlands people drive crazy and to fast , the road is very curvy and steep , the signage is a little confusing and it’s easy to get lost so just have a little extra time to get to your destination, the weather was lovely , on the cool side so take a jumper , lots of amazing shopping and food
If staying at the hotels make sure you book in advance and bring your passport for self check in
If your going to SkyWorlds outdoor theme park check before you buy your tickets which rides are currently being refurbished

We made the mistake of visiting at peak time between Xmas and New Year, meaning that we had to queue for everything, sometimes up to 1.5 hours for either the Gondola or the main attractions for the kids. Finding your way around the first day is challenging, especially in the Sky World Theme Park area. The Gondola ride is fun and some of the rides awesome if you can handle the queues. The Premium Outlet mall was actually disappointing and we did most of our shopping at Sky World where prices were only slightly higher but goods better quality. Food was generally bland and disappointing. The good places that we did enjoy were the Thai Restaurant (for spice) and O'Briens (for healthy food with good service). Five Guys burgers were popular with the kids. Avoid the western type restaurants on the top level. The atmosphere is great but the food ordinary.

It's a good place to visit.
It's a good place to visit. I would recommend going up the gondola/skyscraper early morning to best the queue and have breakfast up top. The bottom of Genting Islands does not have much choice in regards to breakfast/food in general.
The area is nice and cool in terms of temperature and cleanness. If you're into theme parks book an extra day to make full fun day

Overall very happy with the room. However cleanliness really need to improve.
1. Cold, spacious room. Comfortable bed.
2. Free parking once validated by the receptionist.
3. Have heated swimming pool but a little crowded during weekend.
4. Hotel attended promptly to our needs as I complained about squeaking sound on all the doors in the room. In the evening when I returned, everything was fixed! Nice job!
5. Free bottles of water, have complete toiletries and kettle as well as coffee and tea. Have TVs in living room and inside master room.
Staying at Genting Permai was much more relaxing and less hustle compared to the top of Genting Highlands. For check-in you need to follow the instructions closely, as the counter is located at a different apartment complex. Surrounding the apartment there a lot of good and cheap restaurants for breakfast dinning and drinking. A short drive away you can park at Premium Outlets and take Awana Skyway cable car to the top with a stop at the temple.
Beautiful in the Genting Highlands with amazing scenery and lovely temperatures (especially compared to Singapore). Good fun in the theme parks when the rides and their App were working: the indoor theme park, VR, and Ripley's were also great fun. Tonnes of restaurants and shopping in two main facilities, plus of course the casino (if you're into that sort of thing). We never attended a live show so I can't comment.
The overall environment of Genting Highlands makes this a great place to stay. The hotel is also very new, but still isn’t perfect. One of the ladies at reception - can’t remember her name - was extremely helpful and friendly. Overall staff were very nice and friendly. Breakfast was of an acceptable standard. Rooms were well furnished and comfortable, but nothing exceptional to write about.
After visiting the theme parks, we went straight to the property. It's located atop Genting Highlands, not far from the main attractions like the First World Hotel and Theme Parks. We still experienced the coldness and fog, which was very exciting for the children.
Cleanliness is superb, and the space is sufficient for our big family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
I like the location, its just right below the awana sky station; the hub of the public transport, the premium outlet, and the cable car going uphill to Genting Highland. I also like the scenery from my room, the hotel really accommodate my request for high floor. The foods at the hotel also superb.
Room with awesome view 👍
Easy n convenient parking 👍
breakfast selection 👍
Warm swimming pool + cool wind at the rooftop 👍
shops nearby 👍
5km short drive to awana cable car to get to Genting Highlands 👍
Staff hospitality & emphasis on security 👍👍👍
This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Genting Highlands. Gorgeous building, breathtaking view from the balcony, facilities - superb! High quality rooms and high quality service. I will always stay here when traveling to Genting! 🤩
Pros:
1) We got the family room which has the 'loft' bed. It is an interesting layout.
2) Location is good. Lots of food options near the hotel.
3) Good view of Genting Highlands.
4) Porters/Attendants were all smiles and attentive.
The location is good and value to stay for weekend getaway in Genting. If the hotel can provide will a point added for the whole stay with them. The hotel location is good near to the first world plaza and the theme park.
The place is nearby convenient stores. Also lots of food nearby. The place itself is good. Good value for money. Just take the awana SkyWay to Genting Highlands. Also provided washing machine and soap to wash clothes.
Of course, it's Genting. The hotel is the closet to the theme park and the newly mall. Room is big for family, it's good choice for family and not for gambler.
