The reception staff presented my daughter with a card to celebrate her birthday (I had previously informed the hotel that we were staying as a birthday celebration and the hotel holds fond memories for us of when she was a child) My daughter was pleasantly surprised by the card. Our room had also been upgraded to a junior suite which was a very nice surprise.

Dash straight into the luxurious Selfridges and Triangle departments stores before checking out the old-English charm of the Shambles.

    Beautiful industrial heritage buildings together with impressive modern architecture. Excellent tram network. Visited the historic John Ryland's Library and the Hidden Gem Catholic Church. Lots of options for eating and good quality food. Very friendly people ready to help. Worth visiting Afflick's market for bargains, super good ice cream and great ambiance. Also the Craft and Design Centre, housed in the former Fish Market.

    Just an amazing city where modern meets traditional.

    Just an amazing city where modern meets traditional. A vibrant place filled with beautiful architecture and culture, all with a feeling of togetherness and a real sense of the spirit of the Mancunian people. A warm convivial and friendly place which welcomes all comers. Such a diverse mix of restaurants, bars and eating places to cater for all tastes. The trams are fantastic. the lifeblood of the city centre and a great way to get around easily. The City has shrugged off its grim up North appearance and now bristles with businesses, new buildings and opportunities. Not the cheapest place to visit but certainly much better value than London. Hoping to be back very very soon. For culture, art, music and spirit, Manchester is where it's at. Nearly as good as Glasgow ;}

    Manchester boasts a vibrant atmosphere, especially in its cool city centre. Exploring the area on foot is highly recommended to fully experience its unique vibe. Don't miss out on the city's renowned club scene, offering plenty of options for nightlife enthusiasts. If you're into live music, check out Aviva Studios for a chance to catch a cool concert; we saw Sampha, which was amazing. Additionally, if you have some free time, consider visiting the iconic Manchester United or Manchester City stadium for a glimpse into football history. Great location essentially right in the middle of the city center. Very stylish decor throughout the hotel which is inviting and welcoming. The rooms are stylish too and adequately sized for a short stay. Room was very clean and bed was more than comfortable for a few nights stay. Having a chair + desk in the room is also a bonus so you're not forced to use the bed when you're not sleeping! I also found the WC facilities in the room were perfect. This is probably my favourite Motel One in Manchester City Center!
