Breakfast was very good. Room itself was of a good size but disappointed with its location (room 8).

A wonderful period building with a lovely bedroom etc .The breakfast room was a delight to have breakfast in and the service was very good. The location was fantastic for all of the local sites and amenities. We enjoyed the bar/restaurant/beer garden too.
They even served my favourite beer- Timothy Taylor Landlord !! This all helped to make our first visit to Bourton-on-the Water a tremendous experience

The Slaughters are gorgeous & if you love walking, you can walk from Bourton-on the Water , and also walk between Lower & Upper Slaughter. It’s relatively flat, so moderate fitness is adequate. Just make sure you have good walking shoes as it can be a bit muddy on the track

This area is so heavily burdened by tourists that I felt bad for contributing to the problem. It is picturesque and the people are lovely. If you are visiting, I hope you will have the manners to consider where you put your trash and to not obstruct other people when you are trying to get your 1000 pics for social media.

Bourton on the Water, is a beautiful country town but a nightmare on a bank holiday….too busy. The locals were not very welcoming and a little curt when speaking to you except for Venezia - the staff and family were very welcoming and the food was delicious. So too was The Willow. Staff were super friendly and food was good. The rest of the local community are quite rude, maybe they were exhausted from the Bank holiday weekend? Bourton on the Water is picturesque and very well worth a visit. It was lovely to sit along the river and people watch.

A lovely historic town with some tourist attractions within walking distance. We spent a day exploring the town and visited the model village, the motor museum and Birdland. There are many cafes and restaurants to choose from; in warmer weather it would be lovely to eat outside and enjoy the views of the river.

We booked The Mousetrap as the last night of our honeymoon with our dog. We had a very friendly welcome and the hotel was very very dog friendly. Lovely quirky room with HUGE bed. Good shower and other facilities. The bar and restaurant have great decor and breakfast was delicious. The location is great... a short walk to the main street in Bourton but tucked away from the business.
Breakfast and dinner was great, the food was top class. Very dog friendly hotel. The staff were very tentative and friendly.
The room was large and the bed was surprisingly comfortable, the bathroom was modern and clean.
Very old worldly place with uneven floors and low ceilings like many other similar buildings.
Will be going back some time in the future!
Excellent breakfast, short distance to local restaurants and Bourton on the Water centre, ideal location for discovering the Cotswolds, cleanliness of the whole of the Hotel the friendliness and support of the owners. The access to a well laid out garden where you could bush out in the open air after a days touring the area.
Excellent central location for both Bourton on the Water and the Cotswolds with the cottage well equipped, clean and with everything for a comfortable stay provided and included. The kitchen has everything needed with the the washing machine and drier in the laundry room along with good WiFi and tv system a welcome bonus.
The room was clean and nicely decorated. The position very good (Bourton on the Water itself is great place to stay if you are visiting the Cotswolds area). Free parking. The hosts very lovely and they cooked us a delicious breakfast! Very happy, definitely good value for money! We will go back!
The room was very comfortable, with fluffy white towels and beautiful soap and shampoo. A touch of luxury.
The breakfast was exceptional, so many choices and all made fresh to order.
The staff were friendly, caring and helpful. A well run organization. Would definitely stay there again.
really lovely hosts who are super sweet, welcoming and kind. they were definitely the highlight of our stay at Bourton on the Water and made the town feel really cosy. Great amenities and amazing breakfast :) Cannot recommend Liz and Alzira and everyone at The Chestnuts enough!
Can't beat the location, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the free tour of the model town and breakfast was incredible. Couldn't ask for more. We'll definitely stay again if we're back over in Bourton on the Water.
Fabulous location just a few minutes walk from the centre of Bourton on the Water. Andrea and her family who all run the hotel were so pleasant and helpful, they couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable and memorable.
The location was very nice in a little Cotswold village in easy proximity of both Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water. Breakfast was good. There was a decent choice of cooked breakfast, and it was cooked to order.
The location of the hotel is excellent, within walking distance to all the attractions of Bourton on the water. The staff were great and the choice of breakfast and the quality was exceptional.
ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds - breakfast was very good at the Lansdowne next door - they also bring it round for you if you don’t want to leave the cottage which is such a good idea
What a wonderful hotel!! The rooms were beautiful and well appointed. The staff were all lovely and helpful. And the location cannot be beaten…you are only steps from the water
Location is great. Right in the heart of Bourton on the Water. The breakfast was excellent: a sumptuous English all breakfast. The staff was very helpful
