Super clean. Well equipped. Communication with very attentive host was excellent. Close to all amenities in Famara and only a walk/short drive away from all the great parts of the island as a whole. Apartment had a lovely desert view from the small balcony, which had all day sun.
Famara has one of the best beaches on Lanzarote. The town is lovely and laid back with a 'surfers vibe' with some nice, small bars and restaurants. The beach is wonderful as well. We think that it is worth hiring a car though!

I loved the views, the beach, and the village which had a nice mix of tourists and local residents.
It was quiet at night, as most people were sporty (surfers, walkers cyclists etc) and there were no noisy drunken parties.
It was probably one of the best places for me to stay.
There were several good cafes and restaurants + 2 Supermarkets.
I think I would come back in October ,when the weather is a bit warmer and not quite so windy

Famara is a quiet, laid back, relaxing location.
Famara is a quiet, laid back, relaxing location. It's popular with surfers, as the beach and surf are both excellent. It's also ideal for just chilling out on a break. It's not modern, but has a charm of it's own. Very clean, and the roads have blowing sand at times - but this is part of the attraction. No traffic jams or loud clubs etc like the main tourist centres elsewhere.
It was just what we wanted.

Photos were taken from the apartment balcony.
Photos were taken from the apartment balcony. The house was perfect & my overall experience was highly positive....although Northern Lanzarote would be a couple of degrees Celsius cooler (on average per day) than Southern Tenerife (i.e. where I had just come from before traveling to Famara in Lanzarote). Also, in order to do a really BIG shopping, in a large supermarket, you'll need to travel to another town (either by bus or car), as Famara itself is quite small. But that's just the way I liked it : not too big & very quiet at night!

awesome! very long and broad beach, great scenery and not too many tourists. the tourists and the canarian people are friendly and do the best if you ask something. they speak merely english nor german, keep that in mind. you have to speak a few words spanish, but it's ok.

Such a chilled out place on the NW coast of Lanza, renowned for the surf, and the surf lifestyle. It delivers on both counts, with the long, wide beach home to stunning waves set to a glorious backdrop, and the town has plenty of cafes and restaurants ranging from tapas finger food to gourmet delights. Lovely vibe, great town.
Amazing location, a few minutes to the beach, shops and restaurants, yet very quiet and peaceful. The apartment is nice, clean and comfortable, good value for money. As mentioned in the description, the bathroom is in the room, not separated by a door, but if you are staying alone or as a couple it's totally fine. The host, Javier, is super friendly and attentive. Plus, if you're into kitesurfing, wing foiling or surfing you can book lessons with him.
Famara in Lanzarote is a surfer's paradise. With its renowned surf spots, it's the perfect place for catching waves. The surf school here is top-notch, offering lessons that cater to all skill levels. Staying in Famara, you're treated to breathtaking ocean views right from your balcony. Plus, the hospitality is unmatched, thanks to the incredibly warm and welcoming host. A truly unforgettable experience!
We stayed for 4 weeks and have already booked our next stay for November. Everything was perfect - fantastic views from literally every room (you can watch surfers ride the harbour break from the shower!), a roof terrace and balcony, kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and Jack is a wonderful host who really cares about the comfort and happiness of his guests.
Jack the host is very warm and hospitable. The place is the perfectly located between all waves in Famara, you can check the waves every morning from your bedroom window. The house is clean, homely, and well maintained with all basic amenities. Wifi works perfectly, Jack even fixed the Wifi in the bedroom so you can access it there too.
It's just everything you need.
Perfect central yet calm location within Famara, with restaurants, a shop, and beach right at hand. Amazing price/value ratio. A well equipped kitchen & cleaning cupboard (I especially liked the hair dryer, blender and washing machine). There was everything for proper cooking.
I also value the touch of sustainability with soap and similar.
Everything! I spent my honeymoon at El Refugio with my husband. It was absolutely spetacular.
The apartment is really large, confortable and is really well equipped with everything you need.
The owner is really responsive and friendly.
The views are absolutely breathtaking. And its only a 5min drive to the lovely Famara beach.
The location is very good as it is situated between the city and the beach. The accommodation also has a great terrace with chairs, and we were pleasantly surprised by how clean it was inside. Initially, communication with the owner was excellent.
I liked everything! The location, the apartment, nice balcony and very friendly owner.
The kitchen has everything you need during the stay. The beach , supermarkets and restaurants are all within walking distance.
The property is perfect for a family.
The decoration is really cosy.
The location is excellent, a few steps from Famara beach, as well as a small supermarket, and restaurants. it is easy to park a car.
Awesome place in the middle of Famara beach. Great position and the perfect place to enjoy a stay in Lanzarote. In addition, Javier the owner is always very kind and responds quickly
Great location super close to the beach and town, spacious kitchen, little back patio for drying clothes and hanging wetsuit, clean, easy check in, well equiped kitchen.
Location very good, cheapest place stay in Famara. Overall it was sufficient. It wasn't dirty, I expected it to be worse. I would stay there again. Staff were friendly.
The host is fantastic, you can enjoy both the view of Famara at breakfast the mountains when in the garden. it’s a short walk to Famara Beach, we had an amazing time
