If you're a beer enthusiast, you would definitely Plzeň.
If you're a beer enthusiast, you would definitely Plzeň. The famous Pilsner Urquell brewery is an ideal destination for beer lovers.
The restaurants offer great local cuisine and an impressive selection of beers.
But what really makes this place stand out is the friendly people. They are knowledgeable about the local area and can recommend places to visit and things to do.
Overall Plzeň is a great place to stay. It offers a unique experience for beer lovers and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

I would say 2 days and 2 nights is enough to go around the city and visit the main attractions, you can literally walk everywhere. If you don't speak czech, at least half the places have english speaking staff. Try to avoid the fancy restaurants in the city centre and go try some local food outside the touristy areas, have your translator in hand and order your food just pointing at the menu, staff will be very undestanding (always carry some cash as card payments are not available everywhere)

An absolutely gorgeous town with lots of history.
An absolutely gorgeous town with lots of history. It's nice to walk around, admiring the colourful buildings, but the Adolf Loos apartment tours are really worth it for anyone interested in architecture.
Very easy to get around, the trams are really cheap as well.
The Le Frenchie cafe on the main square serves obscenely nice cakes but there are many other places serving many different cuisines.
Also, worth trekking out of town to visit the Bohemia Sekt brewery where you can go on a tour and wine taste.

Plzeň is not the first choice of many going to Czechia.
Plzeň is not the first choice of many going to Czechia. However its a lovely town, easily walked.
Most of the stuff is around the town square with the magnificent St Bartholomews church.
Plenty of good cafes and restaurants abound - but some are small and hidden away so go looking!
Its a fun, interesting town for a few days - and do not miss the Pilsen Brewery Tour which is well worth a visit!

Plzen is quiet and a pleasant town.
Plzen is quiet and a pleasant town. You can easily walk around and the train station is easily accessible. There are not a lot of taxis, but there is access to BOLT & UBER. We used BOLT successfully a couple of times. The town center has a nice church, shops, where you can buy food or Bohemian crystal etc., a library and cafes. The tour of the Pilsen 1842 beer factory is a must. It's fun and lasts 2 to 3 hours. A generous free sample at the end of the tour in the underground cellars. We stayed just just across the river, so we could walk to shops and the train station.

A uniqe city with an uncoverd amazing history that almost everybody in the world knows something connected with the City of Pilsen, but almost nobody knows, that it comes from Pilsen or that it is historicaly connected with Pilsen. Go there, find some information about this city, enjoy the city with its surrounding area and feel the atmosphere of this uniqe place!
This place is so beautiful we truly felt we were staying in a special hotel. It is close to everything, good restaurants, the town square, transportation. The staff was very friendly, helpful and everyone spoke English well.
Breakfast was awesome, lots of new local stuff to try. Our room was amazing and although we never saw housekeeping, we could always tell they had been there taking care of us. The hotel fronts a park that is nice for a stroll or to people watch. We really enjoyed this lovely historic hotel.
The hotel is very well located, within walking distance from the Pilsen Urquell factory, the restaurant is one of the best we’ve been to and the prices are very reasonable. The room is well-decorated and sparkling clean. The highlight of our stay were the people who work there. They exceeded our expectations in every count. We’ve been lots of places in Brasil, North-America, The Caribbean, and Europe and the only place we got a similar service was in another family owned hotel: Villas el Encanto in Cozumel.
Clean and quiet room, good closet space with plenty of clothes hangers, nice shower with plenty of hot water, substantial breakfast offerings, has a lift, local bus stops right outside the hotel for transfer to a nearby tram for a quick ride to the center (or the tram stop is a very short walk from the hotel). Staff is friendly and in particular, Marketa and Tereza at the front desk were very welcoming and super helpful.
Newly refurbished accommodation in an excellent location - central but very quiet at the same time. The room was spacious and well equipped with everything one might need, including a great shower and a comfortable bed. Easy and straightforward check-in directions and friendly, accommodating staff make this an excellent choice for your stay in Plzen.
We would like to share our experience with you all. Republika is the best place by far in the Czech Republic!!!! Not only due to its great value but outstanding staff with an amazing kitchen!!!! Plzen’s Republika has set the standards high for all places in the country within the tourism industry:))) thank you. Eva, Ray, Vesna, Manu & Megan
The hotel was located in very close distance to Pilsner Urquell, say less than 5 min walking distance. The room was clean and the staff were kind. I would recommend this hotel who will visit Plzen to experience more than 100 years’ premium beer. I took the English tour for 80 min and it was worth every penny. two thumbs up!
Historical hotel in the center of Pilsen, you can feel the unique genius loci! Very nice staff, comfortable spacious room with antique furniture and newly refurbished bathroom with a large bathtub. Delicious breakfast. Great value for money. We will be more than happy to come back!
We used a car to arrive to hotel, but it took us 5 stops with a tram to return back into the center and enjoy restaurant life :) Beds were very comfortable, a nice lake nearby is good place for relaxation. Microwave helped a lot to heat up the food for small child
For this price this Hotel was just amazing, great room and nice renovated bathroom! Especially the Breakfast was really good! We could order eggs in all variations. If we come back to Pilsen definitely again!
A group from Lithuania visited Pilsen and stayed 4 nights in this hotel. The whole group liked the hotel. The breakfast is excellent, the location of the hotel is good.
- Location in the downtown.
- Room windows to main sq. is the best view in Pilsen, no doubts.
- Breakfast fulfilled expectation and kind staff in the hotel restaurant.
The hotel is nice, Convenient parking nearby without extra charge. The breakfast was good. The hotel is located in the center of Pilsen, close to all attractions
Nothing special. It was a typical CZ low-budget hotel. In some other countries, Ibis is definitely better (DE, NL), but nothing was bad for one night stay.
