The location is perfect, right by the water and the main street where you can find all kinds of restaurants and coffee shops. The accommodation was great, the beds were comfortable and the surroundings were quiet - which we appreciate. The staff was extremely nice as well.

The location is exceptional, very relaxing with nice walks. Great location for the thousand islands tours. The hotel is still under renovations so it would be unfair to rate the overall standards. The catering was a little underwhelming but the friendliness of the staff made up for it. Staffing is still hard to get. Overall we enjoyed our stay and look forward to trying it again .

This place is a 10+++. My husband and I had a lovely room on the second floor, but when the owner, Inder saw how difficult the stairs were for my husband, she immediately gave us a simply gorgeous room on the main floor. She was so kind and helpful and helped us in with our luggage. Whatever we needed, she accommodated us with a smile. In the morning, she offered to bring us breakfast in our room, but we were fine in walking to the Breakfast Room. And what a breakfast it was…
Ashe cooked an omelette for me and scrambled eggs for my husband. There was a large number of juices to choose from, coffee and tea, yogurt, toast and jam and a large fluffy pancake. What a wonderful way to start the day. I cannot say enough about the lovely manor we stayed in…more like a castle with some elegant accents and wonderful down-to-earth owners who made us feel like their very special personal guests. Hopefully we’ll get down this way again to enjoy another night with this very special hostess. Thank you so much Inder. The Smiths

Gananoque is always so lovely! It was a little sleepy with not much going on in April (compared to summer). Love Joel Stone park. Fun to check out the flea market, and boutiques. There is a great forested area near the marina we walked in, but no official trails. I wish City cruises took the opportunity to run cruises the weekend we were there (only ran a cruise in eclipse Monday, and following weekend even though a lot of visitors in town this weekend for eclipse). Great indian restaurant (1000 curries) on King street, and enjoyed great sunset views from Muskie Jack Pub.

Wonderful little town.
Wonderful little town. People are friendly and the place is clean. They take great care of their corner of the world. Beautiful facilities and parks. Small downtown had plenty of shops & restaurants, Sidewalks were clear and well kept. We had a great time and will return in the summer when the season is really humming.

The breakfast was inadequate.
The breakfast was inadequate. There were NO cereals and NO fruit. Breakfast came ALL ON ONE PLATE-including the toast! Coffee came IN A MUG!. Tea was hot water in a pot with a teabag sitting on top! I had brought porridge (oatmeal) with me but I wasn't allowed to get it cooked for me, or put it myself into a microwave.

Lovely little town to explore for couple of days.
Lovely little town to explore for couple of days. Scenic location and great walks. Boat trips couple of minutes walk away. Interesting free museum to visit. We were there in mid Sept and place was very much winding down . Limited choice of boat trips , boat museum closed and many cafes/shops closed.

First and foremost, the natural beauty of Gananoque is simply breathtaking. Nestled amidst the stunning Thousand Islands region, the charm of Gananoque extends beyond its natural wonders. The town itself is a delightful blend of historic architecture, quaint shops, and friendly locals. One of the standout experiences in Gananoque is, of course, the boat tour through the Thousand Islands. Cruising through these emerald waters while learning about the history and folklore of the area is an unforgettable adventure. In conclusion, my visit left me with cherished memories.

Incredible waterfront and beach, artsy downtown with nice restaurants historic feel good shopping and parks. Cute marina. Bike friendly, lots to do. Good coffee. Good place to bring kids. Hiking trails around town, lots of public washrooms. Would definitely go back with kids in summer. The beach is tiny but beautiful with playground, washrooms. Splash pad and soft sand.
The room and common areas were spotless. The pool area was clean and never crowded. Front desk and other staff were friendly & responsive. Went early for breakfast - not busy & great options. Short walk to village amenities (shops, banks, restaurants), parks, beach, trails, boat launch and boat tours. Travelling without kids I've learned to book a business room so it's a little quieter - it was perfect. Best hotel we've stayed at in Gananoque - we'll definitely be back.
Waterfront, free parking, walkg distance to music n theatre venues, great restaurants short walk n within hotel, all banks nearby, 3 ice cream shops, live music, Theatre 2 min walk, sml public beach close walk. Thousand Island Cruises docked right in front so 1 min walk, costs $72 per senior cruise ticket, 5 hr cruise to USA Boldt Castle and return, great value.
Excellent hearty breakfast. The room was clean, good sized and comfortable with a beautiful view over the St Lawrence River.
We had the use of fridge and access to a large roof terrace with bbq.
The location was very close to the town of Gananoque and the owner went out of her way to ensure that we were happy. Free parking and good WiFi reception.
We would highly recommend staying there.
Everything!
Colin and Peter are fantastic hosts, the communication with them is super easy and they make you feel like home. Breakfast menu is of great quality and varies every day.
The manor is beautiful, it is super clean and the bedroom was very comfy.
The location is great, just a few steps to the city center.
Thanks for making our stay in Gananoque more than enjoyable.
We were very happy with this hotel. Our room had a back patio door which opened onto the pool. This was wonderful! So easy to slip out and jump in the heated outdoor pool. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and newly refurbished. The hotel provides pool towels. It was a short drive to downtown Gananoque-about 5 mins.
Easy to find. Breakfast room was pleasant. Room fine for price point. Air con super efficient! Easy to get to the Ivy Leav 1 hr cruise location 12 min coast drive. (Ivy Lea is also near to the sky tower though we didn’t have time to visit). Small outdoor pool but didn’t use it. Great Czech restaurant in Gananoque.
Easily within walking distance to the center of Gananoque and the Thousand Islands Playhouse. Breakfast was scrumptious; a fresh fruit bowl, yogurt and granola, choice of omelette, eggs, bacon, sausage, Eggs Benedict, pancakes with maple syrup, three jams, coffee or tea. Best B&B breakfast ever!
A beautiful building and setting, a wonderful location & friendly, knowledgeable hosts. The dining room is a delight, for its decor and especially for the excellent meals. A great place to stay and enjoy all that Gananoque has to offer - especially the Thousand Islands Playhouse.
A unique find with very friendly hosts, excellent breakfasts [delivered to our room each morning] and a fantastic location close to the harbor with multiple restaurants and eateries a short walk away. Love the Gananoque area and its closeness to the St. Lawrence Seaway.
as usual the cottage was clean and comfortable! Got a little chilly at night but the electric heat took care of it nicely! As it was Thanksgiving weekend the owners offered up an excellent turkey dinner on the house! It was delicious!
We loved our 3 days at the Woodview Inn. It is by far the best choice of where to stay in Gananoque, Ontario. The Innkeepers are so welcoming and they make you feel right at home. Breakfasts were great and dinner was over the top.
great location. Peter and Colin were great hosts with lots of useful tips. Breakfast was wonderful! Would definitely stay there again, the next time we’re in Gananoque
