Victoria is a very clean city and is very walkable if you do not have a car. Make sure you check out Beacon Hill Park for a lovely walk and don't miss the turtles who sleep on the logs in the ponds!
The area was great, enjoyed our visit to Victoria. The Butchart Gardens were just incredible. Lots to see and do in Victoria. Just not that impressed at all with our accommodation, especially for the price paid. No daily service even
It has been years since I visited the inner harbour area. It is beautiful with the great walking path all the way around to the cruise ship terminal. We had dinner at a nearby restaurant by walking 20 minutes. Great area to visit with the lovely homes, ambience and oceanfront
Lovely city and Island. Get out of the down town it is beautiful. we brought our car and loved driving the island. Butchart gardens are spectacular and a must see. The museum down town are a simple walk and very good with 3D imax shows.
I come from a small city and I found the traffic heavy. We were here for a family get-together so did not do much sightseeing this time, but I know the views of the harbour are beautiful and the wharf is interesting. We did not do a carriage ride this time but we will next time.
My spouse and I had a few days to spend between our completed Alaska cruise and then flying to Europe for an additional 3 weeks of vacation so we decided on visiting Vancouver Island, a place neither of us had ever been to. We chose not to rent a car and travelled via BC Connect, a bus company which worked out perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed Victoria, a beautiful small city of 400K residents, half retired. Lots of things of interest for everyone including a tour of the Provincial Gov't buildings. Excellent choice of restaurants other than The Spaghetti Warehouse which was terrible!
