My mum stayed for one night. The team at the hotel were absolutely amazing!
I was quite worried as my mum is an elderly person so they kept me updated about when she arrived, picked her up at the airport, organised her taxi for the next day, and always answered my questions timely.

I loved this hotel and will stay there again upon my return to the Galapagos Islands. It is the perfect rest spot between flights back and forth to the US. The hotel is perfectly beautiful. The staff was super nice and helpful. The beds were super comfy. The little pool and lounge area with a full bar, although tiny, was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. The room service was on time and delicious. I loved the buffet brunch served every day. It was spectacular. This was a great value for the money.

Currently, other than very specific areas, the vibe is not good. Security, soldiers and police abundant; and, lots of guns visible. Bars on EVERY storefront. Most stores you cannot enter; you ask for what you need and pay through the bars. And, with a curfew in effect, it’s weird to see absolutely empty streets when there are 3.2 million people living in the city! 😳

A beautiful, safe and welcoming city.
A beautiful, safe and welcoming city. People are nice and polite, the prices at restaurants are just fine and the transportation is easy to use and economic. Malecon 2000 was a really nice tour. Also you can find many gastronomic options and delicious dishes. We would definitely back there

It's a nice town!
It's a nice town! It's so nice to walk along the Malecón where you can find some cafes, children´s playground, parks, and the ferriswheel. I appreciate the free (and clean) bathrooms (though you have to pay a few cents for toilet paper - if the dispenser is not running out of it) and free power supplies to recharge your phone all over the place! (bring your charger) I arrived in Guayaquil at around 2 pm on a Friday and left at 7 pm on a Monday, so I had about 4 days, which I think a bit too long. I could have left on Sunday instead. Overall I felt safe but I do take precautions, keep my backpack in front of me, never put it down in public places, etc. El Cerro de Santa Ana is nice. There are only 440 steps to get to the Lighthouse las Peñas, which is cute. You can see some free roaming iguanas at el parque Seminario in front of the Cathedral. It has a small pond full of fish and turtle, some are endangered kinds. It´s quite entertaining. The park is not big though and it´s full of vendors selling stuff. Be careful, do not stand under a tree, you might get ´rained on´ by iguanas perching on a branch above you. I also walked around Malecón Salado but it was deserted (sad). I also visited Isla Santay. A long walk from the city crossing a pedestrian bridge to go over to the island then another 1.7 km boardwalk to arrive to the village. Not much to see there and the boardwalk is in a dire need of repair. There are lots of holes caused by damaged, broken woods so cycling is not recommended. I booked a tour to see bottled nose dolphins but was cancelled due to low number of participants.

I enjoyed my time.
I enjoyed my time. I was only on foot, so there are a few things I may have missed without traveling by car that I will visit next time.
I felt safe walking alone. I enjoyed the live music along the water (the water is not an attraction).
Angie and Joy were wonderful. An arranged Covid test failed to show up and Joy found another company that came directly to the hotel. they were not as prompt as they had promised with results, but Angie emailed and called them, calming our nerves as we needed the results that evening. our room was incredible -best value of our trip to Ecuador. high ceilings , spacious bathroom and view of the malecon.
the hotel location is perfect. walkable to a wonderful museum and even the aeroferia -don’t miss both.
I have been a customer before and I wasn't pleased with you several of the areas on the list above and so I started staying at another hotel across town we decided to try the Holiday Inn Airport again and the Improvement to are amazing hot water hot swimming pools great food service staff this will be our new home again. We travel 2 to 3 times a month to Guayaquil and you will not make this our new destination
Charming small hotel in a great area of Guayaquil. The staff are friendly and helpful. They treated us to a complimentary bottle of wine. Easy walking distance to the Malecon with cute restaurants and bars. Upstairs roof deck is a relaxing area to hang out. We had a lovely large room with balcony and a river view and a front row vista of a tree filled with iguanas.
Had towels and soap and air conditioner that worked well… had a little dresser that served as a table ..shelves to place our stuff…they gave us a complimentary bottle of water and spoons so we could eat the food we had purchased on our way to Guayaquil. Close to airport so not afraid some transportación conflict would cause us to miss our flight
Stuff was very friendly and very helpful. Free shuttle bus to and from hotel was excellent. Restaurant Cooks had a lovely menu and food was outstanding. Hotel is located opposite very large shopping mall with above road bridge connecting both places. Felt very safe with increased security around the places.
Location is great. Close to everything what I wanted to see.. Staff is very helpful and gave me all information I needed and also helped with airport transfer. Breakfast was very nice and their restaurant where I ate dinner do amazing job, had super tasty Ecuadorian style lentil burger with great view
I was impressed by how good this place was and by hospitality of the owner of the hotel Johanna. She helped me and my mother with calling taxis, gave me directions and travel suggestions in Guayaquil. I and my mother are going to stay at this place again when we conculde our travels in Ecuador.
The hotel is around a 5 minute drive from the airport with no traffic. This is perfect if you need to catch an early morning flight. The food and staff in their restaurant was excellent!
I had breakfast and dinner, both meals were well priced and delicious.
It was a nice hotel in an area that felt safe for Guayaquil. The staff was really nice. Also I think we may have been upgraded because the room we received was much bigger than what we had been expecting. Overall had a really nice stay
The staff there went above and beyond, from picking me up from the airport to taking me directly to a bus for my next destination, Cuenca. The breakfast of eggs, cheese toast, juice, and Ecuadorian coffee was fresh and delicious.
Unit and areas very well maintained close to mall and all the tourist area in downtown Guayaquil, the service is excellent very friendly and attentive. The hotel restaurant is amazing food, totally recommended!
Close to the airport, staff was friendly, fast, helpful. Hotel interior room decor was modern, practical, clean and beautiful. Breakfast had a variety of good food. Pool area was nice and relaxing.
Excellent location with a taxi cost $5 from airport. The front desk girl was really friendly. You can ask her everything you want to know and what you need. Makes you a good start in Ecuador.
A fine place to stay in the center of Guayaquil. The swimming pool /waterfall in the center of the hotel is a great asset. Room was very clean and comfortable with good working Airco.
