We had a wonderful stay in this authentic cave house. Inside it stays pleasantly cool even in July, and the large bed was very comfortable. The owner, Roberto, is extremely helpful and hospitable — he even walked with us to the sandwich shop to make sure we got the best sandwiches. The location is fantastic, with everything nearby, and the parking was very convenient. Highly recommended!

Cant find one little thing that we didnt like. Location - amazing, 500m from the garage, 20 steps away from amazing panoramic view of Matera. Apartment is gorgeous, clean and beautifully decorated. We couldnt have asked for more. Breakfast is tipical Italian with coffee, cornetto and biscuits.

This one bedroom apartment has recently been renovated as new. Very compact and comfortable. full kitchen if you want it. On the edge of the Sassi (old town) and the modern area too. Very helpful owner who provided maps and directions. Highly recommend. he parked his car out the front to give us the car parking space which is in high demand.

Everything was perfect! The accommodation was easy to reach by foot from a train station and was located very quietly. Both the modern city and the historic part (Sassi) were reachable within a few minutes walk. Important shops are all nearby. The accommodation was very comfortable, easy to enter by code and Key. There was everything we needed and more for everyday life. The host was very obliging. We travelled in November, so the evenings were mild. It's good to have warmer clothes, because the accommodation could become chilly. Thank you very much for hosting us!

We made a reservation on the day of our arrival and requested a slightly earlier check-in, which was granted. Then we met our wonderful hosts, who made us feel right at home with their really kind and caring attitude. This was a surprise for us, especially nowadays when we usually only get a code for the lock. This was much more personal. They responded almost immediately even at night when we had trouble getting in. We got the Japanese style room on the second floor which looked amazing and had an extremely romantic feel. We loved the little objects and other small details that all contributed to the great Far Eastern feel. The room was completely clean, with fresh bedding and a pleasant smell. Even the bathroom was beautiful with the sliding door, it felt like being on a yacht. The bed was very comfortable, finally not rock hard like elsewhere. We were also happy with the wooden floor, which is rare in southern Italy but has a much warmer look and feel than stone or tile floors. The old town of Matera is only a 2-minute walk from the apartment, which came in handy for photographing the sunrise. :) This is definitely a 10/10 accommodation, I especially recommend it for couples (and of course for lovers of Japan)

Absolutely amazing, so beautiful, cozy and comfortable. The host was very friendly and kind, took care of everything we needed. You will be happy to find there are delicious things for breakfast and water and milk, all kind of tea and coffee. The house is on a perfect location, near to good restaurants and all the sightseeing. I recommend the place with all my heart!
