Kusatsu
Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Guests can find a private hot spring bath and Japanese restaurant on site. We are very happy that we were able to visit this place! We thank the host and everyone who made our stay here very comfortable. Importantly, the owner speaks English very well. The room is spacious and comfortable, has everything you need. We really enjoyed sleeping on the futon! Yukata and haori are wonderful. And it is impossible not to note the presence in the room of a Nintendo console with rare games: Mario, Zelda and others. 3 private onsen with different water temperatures. They are available to guests 24 hours and without restrictions. It is very convenient that you can watch online whether onsen is busy or not. This is a small thing, but it makes so comfortable to visit the hot springs, you do not need to go down from the room and check whether it is occupied or not. Well thought out! The common area is also wonderful. Here you can drink tea/coffee/water after visiting onsen. Use a massage chair, play games, read manga. Well, breakfast! Mmmmm, how delicious everything was! We also had a few requests for food, since we do not eat some products and the host replaced some items in the breakfast so that everything would suit us. Thanks for this care, it was so nice. This is a truly amazing experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Every time we remember living here with warmth and delight. We really hope to come here again someday.

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. Free private parking is available on site and free WiFi is available in all guest rooms. From the second we stepped onto the threshold of this hotel, we felt welcomed and super cozy. Although the lady at the reception didn't speak English, she still did her best to explain everything we needed to know about the hotel and the area. We also had complimentary sweets and participated in a small tea ceremony, which was something we, as tourists visiting Japan for the first time, appreciated so much. The place had four private onsen rooms, with all the necessities you might need, such as different shampoos, towels, hairbrushes and cotton pajamas after the bath! Sleeping on the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. Yubatake was 1 minute away from us. The breakfast was delicious. I wish we had stayed there longer!

This 3-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service. The accommodation provides private check-in and check-out and a shared lounge for guests. This ryokan was the highlight of our trip to Japan. Excellent seasonal and varied breakfast options, with an attention to detail unparalleled in my travel experience. The soaking pools met our hopes and needs perfectly, and we preferred the private rooms to any of the town’s public onsens. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, and the location was great—away from the hustle and bustle of the main square. Staff were incredible—helpful, welcoming, and friendly despite our limited Japanese language skills! Would highly recommend for a quiet, peaceful stay.

Perfect location, very clean flat, very comfortable - we spent a really nice evening in town and enjoyed the festival. The appartment is adorable and the owner was extremely friendly - as were the people in town. It was a memorable stay!
The food was really good and the meals were large, so worth the price. The room was beautiful and clean, and staff were kind and helpful. The bath locations and temperature had variation, to meet all kinds of needs. Location itself was beautiful as well and the locals were friendly, definitely recommend walking around. There is a small town, dam, and a beautiful lake upstream of the river as well as a couple small shrines along the way.
Good location. Low price.
Great river view and location at the riverside of Tone River.
Breakfast and dinner is exceptional - serving all local specialties. Location - slightly uphill for the main street but they have the secret pathway from hotel direct to Yubatake which is perfect and a short walk to Sai-no Kawara park. Perfect place for the day walk around Kusatsu.

last minute booking, all of the hotel at kusatsu onsen are fully booked, I did not expect much. However the hotel end up quite good. Spacious room especially for the 3 bed room. The bed come with heated blanket. Free wifi but nowadays all hotel have free wifi. Good location, hotel located in between Bus station and yubatake (city center)
The location is very nice, not to far away from the center of Kusatsu Onsen. It is perfect for people travelling on a budget. The beds are quite confortable.
The staff were wonderful. The location was close to the bus station and not a long walk to the city centre. The private onsen was the best.
