In Pietra Hotel is set in the pedestrian area of Matera, 200 metres from the city centre. Private parking is available 300 metres away. Got a great value deal on a small single room (which was small but very comfortable, may be a bit stuffy during mid summer but in early October it was perfect) for just a single night (busy itenerary) and was treated as if I was a regular staying in a suite for the nth time. Super friendly and helpful staff (everyone if you speak some Italian, but also fluent English speakers on staff). Location is great and the views from the hotel are breathtaking.

With free WiFi, this 3-star hotel has a restaurant and a bar. Each room comes with a patio with views of the garden. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the food was wonderful. When the hostess realised we had to leave crazy early she gave us a little bag of breakfast biscuits to take which was so generous.

The hotel is smack in the center of old town and in a beautiful 15th Century palazzo originally used by the knights of Malta. The breakfast rooms feature restored affreschi whereas the rooms have been renovated. Overall very clean. Our room had a balcony with valley view that our dog loved. The hotel is dog friendly and the ladies running it are extremely nice.

This 3-star hotel offers luggage storage space. The hotel also features free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The AC was cold and the WiFi fast. We were able to park our car in a lot in front of the hotel or in the underground garage. Best of all, the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend!

The accommodation features room service, a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage for guests. Had a wonderful stay. It was our first visit to Rionero and we very much appreciated how welcoming and accommodating Miguel was. The entire staff were pleasant and catered to our every need. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was comfortable and temperature was comfortable too. Our first night in town, my wife and I had an excellent dinner at La Pergola. Our waiter, Nicola was very attentive and made great suggestions on our menu choices. Two nights later we went for pizza with a local Rionero family and we all raved over the food. Service was outstanding and we were happy the restaurant could accommodate a party of 10 on a Saturday evening with short notice. Each morning we were welcomed with a cappuccino and pastries that were fresh and tasty. We will stay again at La Pergola when we return.

Guests can have a drink at the snack bar. The room was packed full of amenities including a fridge and a lot of complimentary toiletries. The staff were welcoming and generous. Highly recommend!
