The food was outstanding — refined French-style cuisine with a subtle German touch. We started with the scallops St. Jacques and the duck liver, both rich and perfectly balanced. For mains, the venison was cooked beautifully, and the fish stew — still made by their mother — was absolutely delicious and full of tradition. What really made our stay special was the warm, welcoming atmosphere created by Frederica and Johannes, the lovely brother-sister duo running this family business. Frederica was a perfect host — gracious and attentive — while Johannes impressed us not only with his culinary skills but also with his sense of humor and passion for cooking. It’s a charming and heartfelt place, where you feel the family history and pride in every detail. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Baltimore — both for dining and for a peaceful, authentic stay.
