My room was spotless with a view of the ocean and one of the ancient beehive huts. Breakfast options were endless: different kinds of bread/ cereals/ milk/ jam/ ham/ cheese/ fruits to cater for all dietary needs. The host speaks enough English to show me around. He even let me see and feed the baby lambs which was a lovely experience! I really wish I speak the language to learn more about the history of the house. The cleaner was super friendly too. I had travelled around in hostels days prior to this and this was supposed to be an affordable comfy stay for a night to break it up a bit, and it surpassed my expectation!

The family run An Portan Guesthouse is situated in Dún Chaoin on the edge of the Dingle Peninsula.

The rooms at An Portan are all at ground floor level and are arranged in a courtyard style. Each room has its own entrance door, en-suite bathroom,TV and tea and coffee making facilities. We had a wonderful stay at An Portán Guest House. We were met by Geraldine, who was very friendly and helpful during our stay. We had a delicious Irish breakfast (along with tea, cereal, bread and fruit). We had a lovely view at breakfast and in our room. It was a great location for us doing the Dingle Way (8 minutes away from the path). The Kruger's bar was just a few minutes away (so we could get dinner there). The room was very comfortable and quiet we had the best night sleep here. It was one of our favourite stays in Ireland.

The bright conservatory offers scenic views, and easy access to the picturesque Irish countryside. Staying here was amazing, everything about this property was marvellous. The rooms were clean and had all the facilities, the breakfast was delicious and the staff was more than friendly and very helpful, they made us feel like we were part of the family. We liked everything about it!

Our room was lovely and our bed super comfortable We would definitely stay again if we returned to Dingle and would highly recommend staying there if you are visiting Dingle
