It can be found right at the Cossonay-Ville funicular station. We stayed at this lovely hotel in Cossonay, right next to the funicular. The village itself is small and charming, perfect for a quiet and relaxing break. From the very first moment we felt welcome – greeted with a warm smile and even offered a glass of wine on arrival. The atmosphere is very family-like, and the attention to detail in the service is simply impeccable. I had requested a high-floor room and was happy to see they gave me exactly that. The terrace views are beautiful and add to the peaceful setting. Breakfast deserves a special mention: high-quality products, delicious cheese, excellent coffee, and everything served with genuine care by the host, who was always attentive to every need. A place I would definitely return to – it has both charm and heart.

Historic Hotel du Pillon is a 12-minute walk or 2-minute drive away from the village of Les Diablerets. Thanks to its location above the village, it enjoys 1 more hour of sunlight both in the morning and in the evening. Since it was the low season, we were the only guests at the hotel, which made the warm hospitality even more special. The facilities and food were great, we had Macaronis Gruyeriens for dinner, and it was truly satisfying. We also loved the breathtaking view of the snow-covered mountains right from our balcony room.

The host was incredibly welcoming and served a delicious breakfast where we were fortunate to taste her home made jams and delicious honey. We felt right at home. Highly recommended for families seeking a memorable alpine retreat.

All of the Alpine-style rooms have a private bathroom and a satellite TV. Upgraded to chalet. Awesome, even though weather did not permit view of alps. Right in the centre. Never stayed so close to ski hire/lifts etc. perfect spot. Restaurant abs fabulous food. Staff all abs lovely. I look forward planning a return visit next year.
