Hotel Chino is a very comfortable, central stay in Pokhara. The hotel is probably on the best street in town, very close to everything. Every room has a balcony where you can admire the beautiful Phewa Lake and the rooms are spacious. The property offers breakfast each morning and also has a nice lunch and dinner menu — I was impressed by the quality and presentation of the food, and it is great value. They can also arrange tours around Pokhara.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel HighGround Inn, and it was an unforgettable experience! The host went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional, assisting us in organizing adventure activities and ensuring we were comfortable throughout. The food was absolutely delicious, with the included breakfast being a delightful bonus that truly elevated the experience. The stay was reasonably priced, offering incredible value for the hospitality and amenities provided. The highlight, however, was the breathtaking view from our room—absolutely stunning and worth every moment. It felt like a dream to wake up to such beauty. This stay wasn’t just a trip but an opportunity to make a lifelong connection with the wonderful hosts. I am eternally grateful for their warmth and hospitality. Sanjog as Operation Manager is very kind. We bought bus tickets to Chitwan in the hotel, so he drop us off bus station. The food is very good. Laundry service is very good. I really enjoyed my staying.

Words can’t describe how much we enjoyed Hotel Karuna. The rooms have super comfy beds and wonderful lighting. Breakfast was incredibly tasty with little variations every day. But the best thing is the staff - ooooh, what a lovely bunch of people! Special thanks to the charming owner who supported us with gift shopping. Her eco-friendly, plastic-free approach is highly admirable. All said, Karuna has the perfect mix of local vibe and western standards. We extended our stay - but if you do so, better be quick as the hotel is particularly busy on weekends.

Lovely room and balcony facing probably one of the hotel’s best outlooks. On a clear day, ‘Fishtail Mountain in the Annupurna Range can be seen, even when lying in bed! A/C, and great Wi-fi in the room, spacious modern bathroom with really hot water 24 hours per day (a rare luxury in Asia.) Comfortable bed and everything extremely clean. Safety deposit box near reception area. All staff were exceptional, always friendly and helpful, and being there 20 days we got to know Kriti, Dilu and the breakfast staff well. We are not really dog lovers but no one fails to love Pookoo, he is beautiful and so tolerant. Breakfasts were brilliant lots of choice, toast, and eggs cooked to order usually. Lovely sitting areas in the garden at the front of the hotel where you could eat breakfast if you wish. We didn’t use his services this time but Dilu the manager can arrange all types of trekking trips, excursions, vehicle hire etc from within the hotel. Being 74 we chose Pokhara as a beautiful place to relax, enjoy fabulous scenery and the famous Nepalese hospitality. Pokhara has dozens of bars and restaurants all around and miles of level rural walking areas for people like us, even though there are so many young trekkers here enjoying the night life and respite after or before some serious Himalayan hiking/climbing/rafting/paragliding etc.

Tourist Residency is the ideal place to relax and get away from it all. Bimal and the staff there truly go above and beyond to make your experience memorable. Given the price, this place is an absolute steal. Enjoy the views overlooking Pokhara with a chai at all hours of the day. Breakfast is included and always delicious. The only potential draw back is the distance from the main drag (8-10m walk) but even then this helps keep the area quiet making it an even better restorative escape.
