Hidden gem in the sri lanka, we received a welcome coconut and also a leaving drink. The owners are so kind!! They arranged a safari for us for 16400 rupees (54€) and it was awesome, it included a huge breakfast in the middle of yala national park. You also get a coffee/tea and bananas before the safari starts.

This luxury tented camp is situated where the jungle meets a pristine beach, overlooking the blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Amazing property. Despite its high price the value for money was exceptional.

Offering a restaurant and free bikes, MOON LIGHT Guest House is located just 1.1 km from the Tissamaharama Bus Station and 3.2 km from the beautiful Tissa Lake. Free WiFi access is available in this self-catering accommodation. I loved to stay with Randy and his family. His place is next to a beautiful lake full of wildlife, and they have a lovely garden with many birds. The room was big and comfortable and they made an effort to make me feel right at home. Randy showed me around on his tuktuk, and took me to see some local crafting processes. He knows a lot about the culture and history of Tissamaharama and showed me many beautiful places. I really recommend staying here and getting to know the area around.

Guests can also warm themselves near outdoor fireplace after a day of cycling. I recently stayed at Kingfisher Beach Resort, and it was an incredible experience! The resort is amazing, with clean and spotless rooms that are spacious and comfortable – plenty of room to relax. One of the highlights of our trip was a lovely beach BBQ that was very special to us. It created such a warm and unforgettable memory.A special mention to Shehan, who truly made our stay memorable. He’s a fantastic chef, skilled therapist, and an excellent guide. Thanks to him, we had the chance to see a leopard and a bear – such a thrilling experience.I highly recommend Kingfisher Beach Resort to everyone. Thank you, Shehan, for your hospitality. Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. Great location for yala safari. Resort is stunning. Staff are kind and friendly and helpful. Spa was worth doing, I went at night so I didn’t waste the day at the spa. Gym was great. Pool was unreal. All the food was great. Great breakfast. I had a great stay and will be back.

The room was nice, the bed was very good, the owner did everything himself, he was a very nice host, very kind and gives you a nice welcome drink, it was clean.

It is designed to echo the local architecture harmonizing with the jungle environment. Gorgeous location tucked away on a private chunk of land connected to Yala park. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to make sure you are safe and have everything you need. I can’t say enough about the food! We only stayed for one night as we were moving quickly between locations while there, but should have booked minimum 2 nights. Would be perfect location for a honeymoon. Amenities are out of this world. Our guide for the safari was very informative and easy to chat with. I was happy to hear that the company provides the guides who can explain the animals in English, but hire jeeps and drivers from the local villages to distribute the benefits of the tourism dollars around. Would 100% stay again and highly recommend.
