Hotel was excellent, particularly the service. There was an initial mix-up with our room (we wanted a King size bed and we were initially sent to a room with two beds) and although it was not a big mistake, the staff went out of their way to ensure we were happy. We received a generous room upgrade and were able to check in quite early. The pool area was also excellent - I have never seen some of the services provided (fruit kebabs while lounging, sunglasses cleaner etc).

The bright and airy rooms at the Kempinski feature a private balcony with direct sea view. Each one has a flat-screen satellite TV mounted on the wall. The spacious bathroom offers a bathrobe and hairdryer.

I loved everything about this hotel. Room was spotless clean, the bed was very comfortable, the towels smelled so good, the amenities were great (rooftop pool & amazing view, lounge, breakfast hall). The staff is very friendly and ready to assist at anytime, always asking how they can make your stay more pleasant. The place is 6 min from the Pizza street and 8 min from Ayla by taxi, it’s is close to everything & the area is very safe. I m a solo traveller, I would definitely recommend this place to solo, couples or even families. I certainly will be booking it again when I revisit. Note: the pictures don’t serve the hotel well, the rooms are much nicer in reality, so book with confidence.

The restaurant serves American and Belgian cuisine, as well as Brazilian and Cambodian dishes. During my recent stay at the camp, I appreciated that the facilities were relatively clean, especially considering the desert environment. The staff tried their best to be friendly and welcoming. However, I felt that the level of professionalism could be improved. One point of concern was the extra hidden charge for bubble rooms and transportation to the camp. When I raised this issue, I was told that all camps follow similar practices. This highlights the need for government oversight to ensure transparency and fairness across the tourism sector. I understand the economic challenges facing the tourism industry in Jordan, but it’s clear that the Ministry of Tourism needs to play a more active role in regulating and organizing the business. Transparency is key—tourists should know exactly what they are paying for, and hidden fees should be eliminated. Overall, while the natural beauty of Wadi Rum, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of clarity, professionalism, and customer care.

We booked it briefly before our arrival and the team and Yahia the manager managed to arrange for us a fun half-day tour and dinner. The room is very comfortable and affords a panoramic view of the wadi. We will stay here again. Highly recommended.
