Jeewa, Masha, and Oleena made our stay wonderful. Their homestay is lovely, jungle vibes. The room is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious, and Masha's dinner is very tasty. Jeewaa was always giving us advice and helping us to decide what to do around. We went on a safari with a guide that he recommended, and apart from being cheaper than other places, the guide was also very knowledgeable and professional. We wanted to do some Ayurvedic spa treatments, and we found other places quite expensive, but Jeewaa recommended us a local Ayurvedic centre, and the place was half the price then other places and it was SO GOOD! Our kids had the best time, Oleena (the couples' daughter) was always so friendly and playing with our kids. Our kids ended up joining the neighbourhood kids' gang. We had the most wonderful stay if one day we come back to Sri Lanka, we would definitely go back to Oleena's homestay. Jeewaa, Masha and Oleena, thank you so much.

The host, Lasantha was very warm and very helpful. They have a beautiful stay, like a chalet, very well made and maintained. The food his wife cooked was OUTSTANDING. They gave us honest recommendations for everything. Hands down, best accommodation on budget.

Our stay at Woodland Sanctuary was simply magical. The two-story wooden room was beautifully designed, offering both comfort and a rustic charm that made us feel connected to nature. The bathroom, finished with natural stones felt like a luxurious spa. Dudley and his son Maleesha were incredible hosts, always going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The breakfast was delightful, featuring fresh Sri Lankan dishes and fruits. The pool was large and refreshing, surrounded by a lush garden with breathtaking views. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

Sun Shade Resort truly stood out as our favourite accommodation during our Sri Lankan adventure. The experience was simply perfect, beginning with the delightful private pool right outside our room, offering a tranquil and romantic escape. Each evening, we were treated to an absolutely delicious buffet dinner, showcasing the best of Sri Lankan cuisine. Beyond the resort's impeccable amenities and dining, its location proved to be an excellent base for exploring the region's iconic attractions. I really enjoyed my stay at the Tantor Resort. It is a new resort in the making and is an Eco resort. Currently there are two rooms with more being built. The rooms are in little tree house/ cabins with amazing outdoor covered showers/toilets. The pool is beautiful although I didn't get a chance to use it, and looked super clean. The manager Anu is great and was super helpful and friendly. He was veery welcoming and made our stay great. The staff/woman who made our breakfast and dinner was very kind and the food was great.

What a special place this is to stay in, it was absolutely perfect. The view from the bungalow overlooking the pool with the lake in the background is fabulous, an incredibly relaxing place to stay. One of the nicest pools to swim in. Location is fantastic for enjoying a safari, or walking down to the local restaurant for dinner at the lake. We really enjoyed the breakfast provided each morning, sampling different Sri Lanka breads and pastries, the freshest fruit and equally delicious coffee. We also enjoyed a beautiful Sri Lankan dinner at sunset lovingly prepared by Sasini which I would highly recommend. Wished we could have stayed longer.

    Excellent place! The rooms are spacious, very clean and modern. The place is quiet. There are only two rooms and are fully separated so you will not get noise from next door neighbours. The balcony is very nice to to sit there and relax. The owners are very friendly. Breakfast is delicious and even too much :)! Great location! Only 5 mins walk to big supermarket and bus stops. You can take bus easily to Sigiriya or also the tuk tuk is very cheap as the rocks are close by. There are direct buses to Kandy or Anuradhapura.

    This is an amazing room for the price you pay. It is clean, spacious and comfortable and there is a lovely space to relax outside the front of the room with a hammock. The family is so lovely, friendly and welcoming and they have a young son who is so sweet and playful. They did a nice breakfast everyday. We did the safari through them and it was an amazing experience. We saw lots of elephants and other animals and had a great experience.

    Quite location but also close to town if needed. It was very clean and the breakfast and dinner we had was amazing, rice and curry with a homemade special touches. Hoppers, eggs and delicious fruit for breakfast. Spacious room and place to sit outside to relax. Only two rooms to the home stay. Kind and friendly owners who made the place a wonderful stay. Definitely recommend.
