The Albatross is love letter to golfing. All the decor is lovingly curated to speak to the golfer's soul. We had a beautiful room which offered breathtaking views of the scenery. You will be spoilt for choice with the extensive menu, and be prepared to find your clothes fitting a little more snugly because you will enjoy all the delicious meals. Special thanks to Mr Thilak and his team for being so attentive and for taking such good care of us. We felt completely at home at The Albatross!

I really liked the hotel because it was clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and made sure I had a comfortable stay. The breakfast had many options, including fresh fruits, bread, and warm dishes. The food was delicious, and I enjoyed it every morning. The location was also very good because it was near shopping areas and public transport. It was easy to go to different places from the hotel.

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in recently. We were warmly welcomed with a traditional drum & song routine performed by the wonderful staff. The room was so comfortable, had everything we needed and a full mini bar included in the rate. The hotel facilities were great and absolutely spotless. The food was exceptional and the service outstanding. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends & family.

Our stay was absolutely incredible. The setting in Sri Lanka’s lush “foliage” is breathtaking, and the way the architecture blends into the landscape is not only beautiful but simply genius. We felt an overwhelming sense of peace from the moment we arrived. The Ayurvedic treatments and wellness programs were life-changing, and the team are so positive and treated us with so much kindness and thoughtfulness. The food was beyond amazing—every meal was filled with such flavour. Santani gave us everything we needed to truly sought to reconnect and release going into the new year. It’s a place that feels magical, and we can’t wait to come back.

Literally everything about the place is on spot, starting with the great location were you will realise later that every view your eyes will catch is a breathtaking.. all day every day!! Beautiful property, in the middle of nature and the tea plantation. The room was super large, with ceiling fan and mosquito net. Terence and the rest of the staff were really the highlight of our stay. They took such good care of us and treated us with such kindness, bringing us tea and fresh juices throughout the day. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there for two days (always different), and this was really the best food we had in Sri Lanka. We could also fill up our water bottles at all time, which was very appreciated. Magnificent furniture, all from the colonial times, though it could be a bit cleaner (cushions and fabrics of the different sofas). The swimming pool was the perfect addition, after walking around in the hot weather. Finally, our visit to the tea factory was very interesting: we learnt a lot and were so happy to be able to buy their tea at the end, for a very decent price.
