The location is excellent if you plan to visit all the Hells of Beppu, everything is very close to the Ryokan. The place itself is pretty good and the Onsen has an amazing view of Beppu, you have to go during the night. I stayed in one of the more expensive rooms, so it is a given that the room was amazing, having a private onsen, both inside and outside, was amazing. The dinner course was wonderful, best sake I had during my trip.

Everything was perfect, the Onsen was really nice and relaxing. The breakfast was also quite big. All the personal were kind and helpful. I can definitely recommend this Hotel if you can afford it.
