A beautiful stay, with every detail obviously carefully considered, this place will have you wishing you could stay for longer! Olivier and Ingrid were glorious, extremely welcoming and with a wealth of knowledge. Breakfast and the spa were perfect and on top of that the village is just a short walk away and definitely worth a visit.

We stayed here with our mid sized dog for 1 night on the way from Belgium to Malaga. The hosts communicated everything clearly and it was easy to find not far from the motorway. The place is even nicer than the pictures. Clean, modern, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed (the complimentary tea and coffee was a great plus). The garden was perfect for the dog to have a run. The location is wonderful , but worth noting that there’s no shops or restaurants within walking distance but we’d seen this in advance and brought dinner and breakfast with us. We had a really peaceful night sleep. Thank you!

The hosts were exceptionally helpful. I visited with 2 girlfriends and we had a wonderful time. The location was great for the centre of Cognac and visiting the famous cognac houses, also close by was Citadelle gin distillery, well worth a visit. The courtyard is a very lovely place to stay, excellently fitted out, especially the kitchen. Also Netflix, Disney and many other movie channels as well as a host of DVD's were available to us at no extra cost. Sinead and her daughter were prompt at answering any questions we had and provided all the information we needed. I would recommend this house to anyone visiting the area, suitable for families, friends or couples alike. Nice to have the extra toilet downstairs and the beautiful courtyard was not only a bonus but very pretty, an excellent place to enjoy a G&T in the afternoon. Can't praise Sinead enough, good luck and here's wishing you a busy season.

I cannot recommend 1854 Chassors highly enough. The place is situated in the absolute perfect location, surrounded by beautiful landscape, and a short drive away from exciting cities and the seaside. I have never stayed in accommodation so well equipped, everything you could wish for is provided - we were even offered umbrellas on a rainy day! The beds are incredibly comfortable and the gite was perfect in every way, creating the ideal escape with the pool and grounds! Barb and Kevin are so incredibly kind, welcoming and insightful for the area, recommending brilliant places to explore and are always there for any questions you may have throughout your stay. They made the place feel like a home away from home, absolute paradise!
