Hotel HORIZONT RESORT is in the village of Stará Lesná, only 2 km from Tatranská Lomnica the ski area. Rooms in hotel Horizont Resort are offering panoramic views of High Tatras Mountains, free WiFi is provided throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. Beautiful hotel, great location, nearby all points of interest. The pool is great, heated (33-34 degrees), there's both a small indoor and a bigger outdoor playground which was really great for the kids. The room was massive with beautiful views of forests and mountains. Everything was spotless. The food choice is not massive but the quality is top notch and the menu changes daily which was really nice. Highly recommended for a nature-first holiday with kids. Having bathrobes waiting in the room exactly the size for our kids was a beautiful touch.

Location was close to the downtown area. Good breakfast selection.

The property also offers free parking. I loved the charm of the building as well as having dogs in the main lobby upon my arrival from the hike. It felt I came home. The hotel was quiet, comfortable, and perfect for unwinding. We really enjoyed the food — both the breakfast and dinner options were delicious and nicely presented. We also visited the wine bar and the English bar — both had a lovely atmosphere. One of the highlights was the wellness area. We were lucky to be there when it wasn’t crowded, so we could fully enjoy the swimming pool and all the saunas in peace. Would definitely recommend for a calm and rejuvenating getaway!

Horský Hotel Popradské Pleso is a good starting point to go hiking and take part in guided alpine hikes to Gerlach or Vysoka, as well as join mountain climbing tours in the High Tatras. Everything! Can't really put into the words how beautiful the location is... but the hotel is perfect. The staff are lovely and willing to help you, advice you etc at all times. The food in the restaurant is very good and portions are perfect to refuel after (or before) hiking. The facilities are great! Just what you need. Couldn't recommend more :)
