Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. Ryokan is perfectly located, just next to the temple. The staff are welcoming and kind, helping with many things you didn't knew you needed help with. Food is delicious and atmosphere in Ryokan let's you feel like in Japan from the movies. Initially I thought it was pricey, however after the stay I'm disappointed of myself that I didn't book it for longer.

Akira san the owner himself greeted me upon my arrival. He is very polite and friendly. Lodge staff tour me around the facility with a smile on her face. I had a great time and best experience during my stay.

This was such an unforgettable experience. We were supposed to stay for just one night but ended up staying 4! Okay, from the beginning. We had different accommodation in Hakuba, but we weren’t satisfied so we were looking for something else and found Dark Horse by chance. The moment we walked into the house, we were greeted with smiles and warmth. Andy, Rika, Momo and Hana create something truly special. We’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels and such, but this one will stay in our hearts for a long time. Everything is well thought out, you can see it’s taken care of down to the smallest detail, you can see it’s done properly and not just to be the cheapest. We felt so beautifully hosted. They also have an amazing sake collection to try, and the food is delicious too. Thank you again and we already miss it. I hope we’ll get the chance to meet again. PS. Eau Sol Vert Karuizawa Club está en Karuizawa, a 20 km de Honmachi Machiyakan, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y restaurante. Our room was very large, new and had all the right facilities, kitchen etc. I really liked the onsen of the hotel, and the breakfast was excellent. Snooker table was a cool addition. Staff was super kind and helpful. 15 min. drive from a ski park, 20 min. from Karuizawa city center.

Compass Duo está a 20 km de Honmachi Machiyakan y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. We had such a great time staying at Compass Duo.The house was super clean and tip-top — seriously spotless! The response and location was great too, peaceful and convenient. We especially loved the relaxing walks around the area — so pretty and calm. Would definitely recommend it.
