From the minute we stepped off the bus from Gstaad (which stops at the front door of Panorama B&B) it was obvious this place is special. Lauenen itself is a picture perfect alpine village where you feel as though you've stepped into a Christmas card. The B&B Panorama has the most spectacular views imaginable - snow capped mountains flanked by pines dripping with snow, with beautiful ancient wooden chalets and twinkling lights in the foreground. Karen the host was incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. Great, filling, locally-sourced breakfast. Beautiful, warm, well-appointed room with a balcony overlooking alpine splendour. We visited for winter hiking and the trails around Lauenen must be some of the best in Switzerland. We were truly blown away by our short stay - just wish we were still there!

The authenticity of this chalet was amazing. It’s was warm and cosy and had amazing views; I was lucky enough to watch the sunrise above the mountains and it was magical! I didn’t bring the correct plug adaptor or phone charger but the hosts were so accommodating they were able to provide both. One night wasn’t long enough.

The room was very spacious with a great view. The breakfast was simple and good. Very cosy atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and kind. Especially Sonia who took care of every detail and question we had, and was very considerate, She even helped us with train booking. Quite simply, our best ever hotel experience! This is a wonderful hotel made so by the delightful team of friendly and caring people who made us feel so welcome.
