Beach area was nice to sit and relax. We had everything we needed in our room. Pool was nice place to end our days and visit with others. Plenty of towels for pool or beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good everyday and so nice to have it brought to our sitting area.

Chiara and Ray are lovely hosts: we really enjoyed chatting with them and they were always very helpful. We rented the local bikes for the day and it was such a nice activity to explore the area. This was our favorite stay in Costa Rica and would recommend it to anyone passing by Puerto Viejo. It's located a bit further out from the center, next to Playa Negra, which for us was a plus. You can enjoy the quiet and beautiful nature there. It's totally safe and not so crowded like the center. The guesthouse is clean, very nicely furnished and looked after. Checking in periodically to see if there was anything I needed. Made me feel very welcomed and at home. The space was large, with a full stock kitchen. The couch in the living room was also very comfortable. During the day, the house could get hot but using the air conditioner in the bedroom it wasn't an issue at all. I really enjoyed how quiet the area was, while conveniently walking distance to the main street of town. So great location!
