We stayed here for 2 nights before moving on to Yellowstone. But if you don't fancy Yellowstone prices you could stay here, it's about an hours drive to Yellowstone. Quiet location at the end of Cody. It is a bit of a maze and our room was near the far end. Room was clean, bed was really comfy. Good shower but the shower head needed cleaning so that it spray down and not everywhere else. We didn't hear any noise at all. Breakfast was included in our booking which was good and well organised, we didn't eat at the hotel in the evening. There's a small bar next to the dining area. We'd stay here again

There are some very rude people in cody Wy.
There are some very rude people in cody Wy. They do not like tourists. They will cuss at you on the road , they will ride your bumper, yell obscenities to you. It's sad , with out tourists, cody wouldn't be what it is today. I used to love cody , until the residents started being more than rude to people from other states. If we stopped coming to cody, wondering how much of a ghost town would cody turn into.

I am from Wyo. and am in Cody frequently, so I can't really comment on length stayed. We are usually in Cody for things that "normal" travelers are not. We are here for sports, to see friends, and other such things.

I loved the location, the motel itself and the rooms were great. Couldn't ask for anything better and the value for the cost was fantastic. I had mixed reactions for the staff. The gentleman who checked us in for the evening was great. Seemed to go out of his way explaining things and getting us into the room we booked online. However, the lady working the desk in the morning double charged my credit card by mistake (according to her) but didn't attempt to fix the charge even though she knew she had made the mistake. The manager had to be called to make adjustments and I'm still waiting for the adjustment to be cleared after 4 days.

We were there toward the end of the season.
We were there toward the end of the season. Our purpose was to go to the Whitney Western Art Museum in the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. It actually had 5 museums and we went to four of them. My husband loved the Buffalo Bill museum. I did love the Whitney, but also the Natural History Museum. In addition, Cody is only 58 miles from the East entrance to Yellowstone, and the drive there is spectacular. We had not planned on going, but we did end up spending a full day there. Cody is definitely worth a stop.

Prices very high.
Prices very high. Got the impression people there liked you only for what you would spend. Very crowded. No place to eat because of the glut of people there. The Buffalo Bill Museum of the West was good. Enjoyable time spent there. The Chief Joseph Highway was awesome. Otherwise, the rest of this highly priced resort town is not for me. I will not return.

Excellent gateway location for the East Entrance Road in Yellowstone National Park. Also, a good starting point for Chief Joseph Scenic By-way and Beartooth Scenic Highway. There are so many things to see and do around Cody that one trip is certainly not enough!
The hotel was very cool. We had the opportunity to see the gun show outside. My daughters loved it. It was about a half hour in length. The staff was amazing! My daughters wanted to know if the hotel was haunted and the hostess showed us the pictures and invited us to walk all through the hotel to see the various areas said to be haunted. It was fun and a few families were doing the same. Staying in the rooms was like stepping back in time. My daughters loved the old fashioned toilet pull and the bath tub.
The Scout Inn does provide coffee in the mornings, although no breakfast. The laundry facilities were convenient. They were able to accommodate us when we decided to stay a couple of extra days to take tours of Yellowstone, by moving us to another room. While we had a problem with the room rate when we were moved, they worked to adjust the rate downward for us. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient to downtown Cody. We could walk to restaurants and shops.
NOTHING!!
Property does not have an elevator! Carting luggage up stairs to our second floor room was not easy. We are an elderly couple, when we asked for a first floor room, the person at the front desk said one was not available for the price. The hotel was by no means booked.
Our room is very musty smelling. They sprayed it twice but the odor prevails.
Thank goodness we are only here for one night. Next time we’ll stay at the Best Western down the street!
We appeared to get upgraded with our Genius status. The unit had 2 rooms plus large bath - microwave and fridge. Very comfortable and clean - super roomy
Hotel is on outskirts of town but we thought it was good for road access... the rodeo was in town and as we drove through we could smell the animal aroma thus being slightly away is best
Wish we stayed more than one night to learn more about Cody - the decor was tastefully historically about Cody too
Room was acceptable. Nice pool, great location for Buffalo Bill museums, rodeo and downtown entertainment. Owners were pleasant. The breakfast wasn't too bad for a continental. We have had some really bad ones. There is a self serve laundry. An ok place. No real complaints. A bit expensive but it's a tourist destination. Other hotels in area were more expensive.
Such a wonderful hotel! Can't wait to come back again, and maybe just to stay here! Lovely atrium and back porch area and other places within the hotel to sit and gather or read. The decor and feel really is so cozy and true to its history- awesome renovations-they thought of everything! THANK YOU!
All staff were very friendly and so helpful. On arrival we were given loads of useful information about Cody and the surrounding area. Ideal position just up from the main drag and off the main road so you don't get the noise like the other hotels in Cody. Had a great stay
Everything!!!! People were very nice and helpful. Gave us great recommendations of things to do...and all only blocks drom hotel. They also brought a horse for kids to take a quick ride and a cute miniature pony! Room was clean and comfy. Would definitely recommend!
This hotel is right in the town of Cody with easy access to stores and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff was helpful. This was a perfect spot for us to stay while traveling East from the Yellowstone National Park to South Dakota.
The wi-fi was the best I've had at a hotel for quite a while. Room was good size, clean, staff was ready and willing to get extra coffee and shampoo for us. Overall, a great stay and highly recommend when visiting Cody.
helpful staff, great pool area, thoughtful hotel design from the entrance to the hallways to the rooms themselves. If felt like an actual hotel, not a cookie cutter designed space. they offer s'mores in the evenings.
I grew up in Cody and the Irma was always the place to meet friends for food and drinks, when I returned to town. I always wanted to stay in the hotel and decided I wasn't getting any younger. So glad I did.
Large room with desk and a sitting area. Outside access with vehicle at your front door. Comfortable night’s sleep. Less expensive than several other hotels in town.
