Old Faithful was fun to see.
Old Faithful was fun to see. We also went to the Petrified Forest, which was amazing to see those trees. We had Thai food in town. Do a couples mud bath/massage at Doc Wilkinsons. Been in business for 70 years. And not to miss is Buster's BBQ. His hot sauce will literally bring tears to your eyes, in a good way. Cole slaw and potato salad were excellent too. We got beef ribs and tri tips. Super yummy.

We have been vacationing in Calistoga for over 30 years.
We have been vacationing in Calistoga for over 30 years. We have seen a lot of changes good and not so good ( prices at our favorite Spa doubled ) but none have kept us away. We found a few hotels with mineral water pools that are reasonably priced. It's a wonderful town, the people that live and work here are friendly and helpful. We have always felt safe in Calistoga. We always go to Soo Yuan Restaurant at least once a stay. We miss the mexican restaurant that was next to Cal Mart. Most of the time we get take home food from Cal Mart, it's always great . We nearly always walk to town, but if not, we have never had trouble finding parking - there are plenty of public parking lots and public restrooms.

Calistoga is a beautiful town with many hotels that have mineral water pools. Very easy to get around. Best restaurant in town is at The Calistoga Inn. I would avoid The Mount View Inn as it needs a lot of repair/remodeling (and I do like older historic buildings).
There are a lot of interesting shops, hiking, biking, etc.

Beautiful.
Beautiful. Our hotel was in walking distance of everything we needed and wanted. Amazing spa treatments. Delicious wine and food. Quaint shops great atmosphere, friendly people. Everything was spectacular.
The breakfast was good and simple. Home baked blueberry muffins, fresh fruit, cereal, oj, coffee. There was a nice bottle of chilled wine in the fridge upon arrival. The garden setting was lovely and well maintained, next door to a vineyard. Lani, the hostess, was very friendly, but also good at giving us our privacy. The hot tub was nice and there was a comfy hammock. We rode our e-bikes from the Inn to the town of Calistoga, past at least 4 wineries along the way. Great location, out of town enough that the price was right!
This lodge has everything u could desire. The location is 5 min walk from downtown Calistoga. There r bikes u can use to ride there for 2 hours at the hotel. The dual mineral spring pools and hot tub were awesome! They give u pool towels in room and bathrobes! They provide u a coffee pot for a fresh brew, lounge chairs oitside ea room to watch the sun set behind the mountains, and wine bucket, corkscrew, and glass wine glasses for the romantic touch in wine country. Also there is a restaurant at the hotel.
Lovely peaceful surroundings with amazing views of the mountains, and close to all the lovely vineyards of Napa. Staff were very friendly and helpful at reception and at breakfast area. Plenty of parking available and felt really safe inside the hotel premises. Clean and spacious room with a large TV. Hotel is close to the main shops, supermarkets, restaurants and spas in Calistoga with easy parking on street. Steam room and pool not to be missed.
Love Calistoga, a repeated favorite. Also, have positive past experiences with Mount View Hotel. Nice pool Good outdoor jacuzzi. Happy hour with free wine pours and DJ spinning vinyl with cushy sofas and gas fire rings by the pool very much appreciated. It helped that the fall weather on our visit was spectacular so we could go out at 8am, lie in the sun and soak in the jacuzzi and swim in the pool. No crowds yet plenty of activity for a weekday .
It was unusually cold and raining during our stay. We were still able to utilize the hot tub (a perfect 102 degrees). In fact, the back patio is beautiful, including a heated pool. We had a massage in their spa area which was a bit too quaint for our liking considering the $200 fee for a Swedish massage with an additional $40 gratuity automatically included. There is an old world charm, however, that makes the Mount View Inn appealing.
Dr. Wilkinson’s was one of those rare, serendipitous finds one gets treated with if all is right with the universe. The pools were refreshing and the room was super retro funky and nice. If you are a bit tired of the cookie cutter chain hotels, then you’ll be pleased with the attention to being different that the property has devoted a lot of attention to presenting. Really convenient to the nearby downtown.
Everything! The staff was super friendly; the room had a comfy bed, a little kitchen area and jacuzzi; there was a lovely outside area with a fireplace for colder days; they offered the guests little treats like homemade cookies in the afternoon; nice breakfast and a wonderful spa area with outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and sauna.
Probably our favourite stay in California!
This is a wonderful place to stay for a reasonable price. I stopped coming to Calistoga with my family as it was just too expensive. Now that I'm travelling by myself a great deal - it's a tad more economical, but I don't want to pay exorbitant prices for a place that I'm only sleeping and showering in. The Bergson has everything I need, and a room I can afford.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautifully decorated inn. The room was brilliant. Phone sanitiser, hair straighteners, and great toiletries were on offer. Shower room was spacious with powerful shower and heated toilet seat! Wouldn’t have thought this was necessary in Calistoga but we enjoyed the novelty.
Breakfast was included and brought to our door every morning... it was huge (by Napa Valley standards) and delicious! The Palisades cottage was spacious, well equipped, with a private sitting area. The bed was roomy (Cal-King) and so comfortable! The hummingbirds may greet you as they did us.
Great staff and amenities, very clean, well maintained with a nice pool, two jacuzzis and a spa with a very good masseuse named Sadie. The hotel is close to downtown and provides free bikes to use as well. Definitely a place we'd like to stay at again.
Well located within walking distance to “downtown” Calistoga. Friendly and accommodating owners with complimentary breakfast including a more elaborate homemade breakfast on the weekend. Room was comfortable, clean, and quite adequate in size.
thé reception snd owner were absolutely wonderful ! so helpful and very pleasant . Fantastic gardens . very comfortable bed with lovely bedding. very clean snd perfect central place in town . the pools were brilliant and spa fantastic !
This property is absolutely lovely, a few minutes walk from downtown, and it exceeded my expectations. I will definitely return again! I loved all the extras it included, we had a great stay.
the hotel is nice, friendly people, clean, location is ok - but the pictures are very well taken - the spa section is a little less nice in reality - same with the patio. It's a nice hotel
Good, clean, as expected. Fine internet too. Bonus spa bath although I didn't actually use it (bit too much water for just me). Decent stock in the complementary coffee/tea box too.
Beautiful courtyard to enjoy your free breakfast, which was delicious fresh waffles!! Walking distance to great restaurants and downtown Calistoga. Highly recommend!!
