The view was amazing, the dinner was very varied and tasty, it had around 10 different small dishes with different types of Japanese foods. We also went to onsen that was clean and enjoyable. The shuttle bus was very convenient - hotel offering an evening ride to see the Torii gate lighten up and the we went there again in the morning after checking out and once we were done sightseeing hotel delivered our luggage to the port and we went back to mainland.

Guests sleep in Japanese futon bedding on the tatami (woven mat) floor. I booked this hotel for my parents. When I asked questions by email, their staff reply very quick and kind. My parents were really happy about all the service they got, enjoyed the bath, dinner and breakfast. I booked ocean view room for them, they said the view was amazing from the room, and also they could even enjoy the night view from the dinner place. Seemed like all the staff there is very kind and friendly, they felt very warm inside and they had an amazing stay.

The hotel is on the hill and approx. 20 minutes by foot from the ferry but the property provides a shuttle. 7 minutes away from Itsukushima-jinja. If you want to explore the island more after the check-out you could store your luggage and take a shuttle later that day. Clean and neat. Welcoming staff, most of them have good English. Nice colourful yukatas to select from and a hanten. Tasty traditional breakfast with an instruction on how to eat it. Comfortable bed in a classic room.

The owners go above and beyond to make your stay the most comfortable. Would travel here for the food alone, what a feast! (tip: do a very light lunch prior). These hard working people and their outstanding building and surroundings really need more international visits. So, if you’re in the market for a Adachi museum visit. Please consider this ryokan as your stay. I would recommend a 2 night stay as you can explore the temple grounds and unwind. In other words; It’s been absolutely perfect. どうもありがとう。

Great location. Easy walk from the ferry and to the sites of Myajima island.
