The location of the hotel is good. We had a car and it took 15 minutes to reach to Reykjavik city center. There is a free parking space in the front. The room was clean and new. It was a silent hotel. The reception answers your messages quickly

Disclaimer: I also posted this review on TripAdvisor. TL:DR - Awesome hotel in amazing country. It was a Christmas family trip. Amazing hotel, great service. Super helpful and friendly (even the smallest things, like tips on Northern Lights, or Gin recommendation, or how to pronounce their local beer name, etc). Breakfast is continental, but you can also get some local treats. All fresh each day. Coffee for free all day long. Oh, and the sofas with the furs at the far end of the bar - you could sit there for hours! :) It's walking distance to the city centre (it took us around 20mins to walk in full snow with a little guy who wanted to explore each snow pile, so you will get into the city centre in 10mins if you want). Also, it's like 5 mins walk to the seaside.

It is perfect if you're looking just for a place to stay for the night to begin or to finish you journey in Iceland. I stayed both in the beginning and the end of my trip and both time were perfect. It serves its purpose of resting. If you don't have a rental car, I do not recommend you stay in this hotel because it is a bit far from Reykjavik center. Also if you are using Reykjavik as a starting point for your tours and plan on staying there, I also do not recommend for the same reason.

Great location could easily walk everywhere. Hotel rooms lovely, very clean and bed/pillows extremely comfortable. Staff so friendly and helpful especially receptionist Monica and 2 other ladies who went above and beyond to assist when i missed my pickup for tour (didnt realise i had to get on pickup bus to main bus terminal to join tour and was waiting for tour bus to arrive at stop). Within minutes they had every thing sorted and trip rescheduled. Great continental breakfast. Fill water bottles for you each morning. If you have to leave for tour or airport before breakfast starts they have coffee and croissants available in the lounge.

We loved our stay here, decor was quirky contemporary and stylish, comfortable and very warm for our visit in the colder months. It felt ‘wonderfully hygge’. Our room, an upgrade, had a lovely view of the mountains and the sea. It was cosy and very comfortable and clean. It was also very quiet. Breakfast had good variety, it was great to have some vegan options and plant milks and the Bircher muesli was delicious. We loved the all day hot coffee and teas. We enjoyed our hot drinks and a relax after a day of sightseeing.

The staff were absolutely lovely, really went above and beyond and so friendly. The hotel had a great, relaxed atmosphere and was so nicely decorated. We got upgraded on arrival which was nice. parking was really easy and always got a spot right outside. Can’t speak highly enough of this hotel. Also, various free refreshments in the lobby and delicious food & alcohol in the restaurant.
