- From $155.68 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.6Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 520 reviewsI always enjoy coming to the Puffin Inn. Everyone is always so friendly even when things get overwhelming or hectic. I loved that when my plane came in earlier than expected, the front desk associate didn't keep me waiting and placed me in an available room. The room was super big for just me BUT I remained thankful and just stayed in the space and kept it neat. First time I was on the 3rd floor and was excited to have access to an elevator.Guest review byEllie BeeUnited States
- From $147.15 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.0Good - What previous guests thought, 429 reviewsIt was very clean, safe, well-situated in terms of location, restaurants, etc. The front desk was very helpful and courteous. Good amenities . A very good value, as everything in Juneau is expensive! We chose not to have a car, except for one day, and you can do well without a car at this location. The two-bedroom set up was perfect for three adults (a married couple and a single friend) travelling together.Guest review byAyerzaUnited States

Go to the Alaska Sealife center, fabulous educated helpers available to tell you about the sealife and their adventure of how they came to the center. Olivia was very knowledgeable about the Puffins and other birds, excited to tell their stories and survival skills. Rays was a great place for lunch, a bit pricey but good.Guest review byHollyUnited States - 8.0

I was in Juneau for just 2 nights. I caught the Alaska state ferry from Juneau to Bellingham. I think the area has some great hiking trails when the weather is decent. I hiked the Perseverence Trail, which I liked very much.Guest review byCharlesUnited States - 8.0
(Hey Booking.com, the park wasn't renamed by the current...
(Hey Booking.com, the park wasn't renamed by the current administration, just the mountain! So it is now called Mt. McKinley officially, but it is still Denali National Park!) Denali is an unusual National Park by comparison to the ones in "the lower 48". Unlike those other parks, you can't drive to all the key attractions. The only road into the park doesn't go very close to the standout feature--the mountain. At the visitor center you are more than 60 miles away from it! The park is huge; everything you can see from the road is less than 10% of the total park area. And with the road closed at roughly the halfway point (due to a landslide), you see even less. To get a real sense of the park, take the Tundra Wildnerness Bus Tour (linked from the park web site). This is one of four bus tours offered, and is the longest (5-6 hours)--but easily the best. You go as deep into the park as vehicles can go (to where the road is closed). The drivers have an average of 21 years of experience in the park, and will narrate the history, geology, flora and fauna. If they or you spot an animal, they will stop the bus and give you ample time to look at them. On our tour, we were extremely fortunate and saw all of "the big 4 mammals": Caribou, Dall sheep, Grizzly Bears, and Moose--some were even walking on the road! If you want your own adventure, you can walk or snowshoe or mush just about anywhere. There are very few designated trails, so explore!Guest review byScottUnited States - 10.0

Cute, funky little village with some good eateries, fun shops, and lots to do. I recommend the flightseeing with K2. We were lucky and had a clear view of Denali summit during a short window of clear skies. Also the jet boat river cruise was great. Very knowledgeable folks jetting us expertly up and down the rivers and telling us about history, culture, all things Alaska. The village is very walkable. Denali Brewpub and Mountain High Pizza were our favorite lunch/dinner spots. I'm really not a big pizza fan but the "star" appetizer was out of this world, and enough for two meals. Swiss Alaska Inn has a fantastic breakfast menu and the food was every bit as fantastic. High quality, prepared perfectly. The service was excellent. Worth the short walk outside the village.Guest review byKatherineUnited States - 10.0

Healy is very convenient if you have a car and are visiting Denali National Park and Preserve. There is a reasonably good grocery and liquor store. Denali Park is amazing, and I could not recommend it more if you like mountains. We were lucky enough to actually see the mountain.Guest review byGretchenUnited States - 10.0
We really enjoyed exploring Homer.
We really enjoyed exploring Homer. We enjoyed the Homer Spit. Fun shops to browse, shop & good places to dine. Would recommend the Harbor Grill Seaford & Steak Restaurant. Great salmon & halibut! Walking the beach was fun along the Spit & seeing the Seafarer's Memorial was very moving. Our son lives in Homer, so we had a tour guide to take us all over. The Alaskan Islands & Oceans visitors center was a fun adventure & the walking trail were a nice way to get some Alaskan fresh air. Homer was a fun place to visit & we can't wait to explore more the next time we go visit our son. I'd post pics but I can't figure out how to upload them from my phone. LOL!Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Good place to refuel your car and recharge yourself after entering Alaska. Get some Thai food or anything at Fast Eddys. Both solid. Not much to do here but relax and get ready for your next move further into Alaska or as you leave Alaska.Guest review byJasonUnited States - 10.0

Delta Junction is a historic site and the end of the famous Alcan/Alaska Highway. The drive down the Richardson Highway is breathtaking and made the trip worth it just for the view. Eating options are somewhat limited, but the food we found was very good.Guest review byTheTravelingDebJerrysUnited States
