Kyiv will surprise Western tourists.
Kyiv will surprise Western tourists. The train from the border was just like any other European Intercity Express, only much cheaper. Kyiv's sights are worth seeing, the statue with the sword, the Dnieper River, and the churches with their spectacular golden domes. Ukraine is at war, there are airraid sirens some nights, but the Ukrainian people are special, and a trip here will be very rewarding.
