He is so helpful with advice on where to eat and what to do and answered any questions we had about the island. All of the staff are excellent. The location couldn’t be closer with the beach just around the corner. Lovely breakfast and food at the pool bar, great facilities, such good value for money and I would recommend this as the perfect place to stay for families, couples or groups of friends! The accommodation always provided a private cab, when we needed one. The food in the restaurant was good but not great.

We had originally booked for just 2 nights, but after the first night, we were so impressed that we decided to extend our stay by an additional 3 nights, staying until the end of our trip. That decision turned out to be one of the best we made during our entire vacation!
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine care. The owner and staff went above and beyond to make sure every aspect of our stay was perfect. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction made us feel completely at home and created a truly unforgettable experience.
The property itself is stunning, with beautifully designed furniture made from local materials, adding an authentic and unique charm to every space.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony that gave us a beautiful view of the ocean. Sitting there in the morning, watching the ocean, was the perfect way to start each day. It was simple, peaceful, and exactly what we were looking for on a vacation. The housekeeping team did an amazing job, keeping everything spotless and ensuring we had everything we needed every single day.
The hotel also has direct beach access, where we enjoyed the soft sand and stunning ocean views. The addition of private sun loungers reserved exclusively for guests made it easy to relax in comfort and enjoy the beautiful Nungwi beach.
The cuisine at this hotel is absolutely world-class! We tried many other places around Zanzibar, but the food here was by far the best. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, every dish was crafted to perfection with a perfect balance of local flavors and international flair. The meals, paired with quick and friendly service, quickly became one of the highlights of our days.

The food was delicious, our villa modern, spacious and spotlessly clean, and the overall service top-notch. One of the highlights was the Swahili night, featuring fantastic local dishes and an unforgettable acrobat performance. We also treated ourselves to a relaxing massage during our stay— just what we needed after our safari adventures.
Although not beachfront, the resort is just a short walk through Jambiani village to the sea, or you can take a shuttle to one of their partner beachfront properties, which are equally well-designed and welcoming. That said, we actually preferred the peaceful charm of the Oasis itself.
We’d come back in a heartbeat—and in fact, we’re already planning our return in 2026!

In our two months in Zanzibar we’ve been all over the island and this is truly one of the best places we’ve been to. the staff is very involved, which means that the accommodation is well maintained and everything runs smoothly. Aisha at the reception was of great help. beach is very beautiful, you can swim there, unlike in the East Coast where we stayed before. see is "turquoise". there are plenty of room and deck chairs for everyone to rest , we did not use the swimming pool as we prefer to take advantage of the sea , but it is very large. we hope to be back in this wonderful place, where we stayed only 3 nights, it was not enough to enjoy the place, and the marvellous huge beach of white sand . From the rooms that each have a private pool to the staff who were EXTRA friendly. We enjoyed riding the bikes around the property. The food was good and Runi served us tasty cocktails at the beach bar. We visited for my Fiancé’s birthday and on his birthday they decorated the bed and gave us a complimentary cake with a sparkler and all. Shout out to Emmanuel and Yunsi* for the decorations. We also visited the spa and had a relaxing massage and they were able to accommodate us last minute. We also enjoyed riding the jet skis on the water. In the afternoons, they offer complimentary ice cream which was something we looked forward to daily. We also had some issues with our flight and the guys at the reception were gracious enough to lend us their phone to try and sort things out. Z2 is almost brand new. Zanzibar is an amazing destination with beautiful beaches, friendly people, and a rich culture. Stone Town is full of history and character, and the spice farms, sandbanks, and snorkeling trips make the experience unforgettable. The food is delicious, especially the seafood, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. It was a great stay for me and my family. The best part of this hotel is the entire staff. If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King George or similar hotels - this is not your place. But if you are looking for clean beaches, clear sea, delicious food, peace, close contact with nature, friendly and courteous staff - this is it. There are many bars and small restaurants along the coast that offer a variety of food. In addition, in the town (of course African) you can buy products that are very fresh, and the people are friendly. Matemwe was nice - the beach part.
Matemwe was nice - the beach part. Sad to see the poverty behind the gates of the hotel. The tides were a bit different from what we have expected as the water would leave the beach at 9am and return around 5pm. If you did not make it to swim early in the morning, you missed it. We took a reef walk which was beautiful, saw a lot of see creatures, and that was very amazing experience. Also took a boat tour to see the sunset - it was worth the trip. Did not like how the locals would just stop on the beach and start shouting at you to buy smth. Also the part of the hotel beach is not segregated in any way, which does not give you a privacy enough. Kiwengwa is a perfect place to spend time with the family. Exquisit nature, kind people and the best food. Boat trips, beach activities, village strolls, getting to know the culture of local people who are very knowlegeable about the natural agriculture and extreemly kind and nice. The sea and beach with super soft and white sand are absolutely fabulous and relatively clean. I got bitten by sand fleas on my legs because I spend a lot of time in the sea and walked barefoot. Michamvi is good for relaxing and enjoying . There are few vendors and they are not disturbing you and friendly. We stayed 25 days at Kikoi Boutique Resort and arranged all excursions on Zanzibar as well as a Safari with Sir Alex at Kikoi for reasonable prices and with good service . Their Cook Mister Mahaveer Sing is a real Master Chef and we enjoyed every meal he prepared us . Compliments to all the people working there. You made our stay unfogettable.
