Definitely the best staff I encountered in any hotel in my life. They constantly want to go the extra mile, very polite and elegant. Classy staff members. Good manners. Location of the hotel is the best by far with the Swiss hotel. Great views and close to everything you need as a tourist for a pleasant stay. High quality rooms and facilities. Best staff ever! We stayed at Roi Hotel while attending a friend’s wedding. The hotel is in a good location, with several nice local breakfast/ bakery places nearby—definitely worth trying. The rooms were clean and tidy, with basic cleaning products, slippers, and towels provided. The staff were very friendly and helped us quickly when we had an issue with the kettle, which we appreciated. Overall, that was very comfortable stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're visiting Izmir.

    Catered for British tourists and was overrun by British people. Beach water was murky and beach was windy every day I was there which made it unpleasant. I ventured into Ölüdeniz which I found to be a much nicer beach but was a 30 taxi ride away

    The Old Town Agora and the Hotel - amazing.

    The Old Town Agora and the Hotel - amazing. Izmir is extremely well located to head out early and explore Ephesus. We should have stayed another day and taken some boat cruises and organised a private guide to showcase the city to us... but we just ran out of time.

    Bodrum Old town has a massive water problem.

    Bodrum Old town has a massive water problem. Do not stay in the centre - the hotels and restaurants have water intermittently if at all. Does not make for a comfortable stay. And Turkey is very expensive now due to a screwed economy - expect to pay London prices for food and drink.

    Ölüdeniz beach & lagoon and Belcekiz beach are the main...

    Ölüdeniz beach & lagoon and Belcekiz beach are the main attractions (not shops). It is a small beach town. Because the mountains rush to the Sea here, this is a paragliding paradise and a MUST activity. While the beach is public, beach lounge chairs and umbrellas are only for rent. Cash is preferred, but restaurants easily take credit cards. There are lots of ATMs around. Best restaurants are on the beach side with good menus but with tourist pricing, yet still reasonable. We enjoyed Buzz Beach Bar for lunch (great tuna mayo wrap and fruit smoothies) and Bella Gusto (Italian) for dinner with homemade pasta.

    Marmaris is beautiful , and is a great base for exploring the Turkish coastline by sea taxi or ferry , has everything you need and the local Turkish people are very friendly and are willing to go out of there way to help you if needed , loved it here :)

    It is mainly a port of entry for cruise ships and that creates chaos in the city and makes the visit to Ephesus as painful as possible. If you are not keen to see cruise ships but still interested in Ephesus find accomidation in the less turistic and newer part of the city.

    The pass includes the ruins which is preserved fairly well and the Pamukkale's terraces (and museum). Many of the terraces are empty of water and quite dried out. But we were able to soak in a few of them. The very top one has hot water dropping down from pipes and the water was warm and nice. The ones down below were colder and still ok to soak in. The pictures online were too good to be true, especially since there were a lot of people even at night. But overall, it is still worth the trip.

    Very nice and pleasant town for a visit to Ephesus and other interesting places like the cathedral of St. John and the Isa Bey Mosque. There are also very good Turkish food restaurants like Selcuk Koftecisi.

    Nice looking and laid back town with mainly local tourists, few foreigners. Central beach is a mess. Good beaches are only accessible by transport. Beautiful historic fortress. 3 days are enough in this town

    The best place in Turkey I have seen so far for vacations. Maybe because it is not typically Turkish at all - feels more like Greece. The quality of people there is really high. Lots of night life and great restaurants (many Michelin) and local wines. Local restaurants designs are mind breaking!
