The staff were friendly and attentive. The facilities were spotless - it was honestly impressive how well coordinated and cohesive the team at the Sala were - we witnessed a member of staff identify a minor issue and within minutes it was resolved by maintenance. Our pool villa was perfect - the bed was comfortable, we had consistently good sleep throughout our stay. It was always a treat to come back to our room in the evenings to find a new nighttime tea before bed as part of the turndown service. We spent much of our time by the pools/beach - the loungers were very high quality, seating options were varied, pools were pristine. A huge shout out to the "beach boys" and bar staff who made our stay so great. Some of the best service we've had. The breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL. We cannot fault it - plentiful options, very high quality and service to match. We looked forward to it every day. Our experience at the Spa was very comfortable and worth every penny (we would highly recommend)! That said, guests should note that there is an independent spa operating on the beach right next to the resort which is very affordable - not to be missed if you want a cheap and cheerful massage while listening to the sound of the waves! The attention to detail and thoughtfulness around the guest experience - creating little moments throughout our stay to make it feel special - was such a treat. The pool and beach area are amazing, the sun loungers are comfortable. The team at the pool bar and restaurant are brilliant, every morning I was greeted with a smile and my favourite cappuccino with coconut milk. Two staff, Min and Lek were superb, a real credit to the hotel and made our stay extra special, always remembering what drinks and breakfast we enjoyed, explained the fish and food dishes available and spoke about the paddle boarding and kayaking facilities we could use. I love it here . Has everything and anything. For me I like the beach , the restaurants, the markets and am happy to do that all day at one of the beach front bungalows. But there is plenty of night life if you want it . A lively place, lovely locals, easy to go other places on the island with taxis . The beach is beautiful. Warm water . Food and drinks along the beach .lots to see and do in the town. So many restaurants to choose from . Capybara cafe is so funny had a great time there . Couldn’t even offer us a clean towel when changing prior to our flight we had to use a wet sandy towel from the beach!! Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. We were planning on 2 nights but changed plans and left after 1 as there is nothing to do on the town but look at shops. One temple to visit if wanted. Wish we hadn’t stayed the one night! Ok for a transfer through to the islands but nothing more in our opinion. I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location.
