What a beautiful place! We thoroughly enjoyed every moment in this amazing cabin. It was such a peaceful place to rest, away form the busyness of normal life. I like the image of a typical mountain village, but with the proximity of the ski slopes it is becoming more and more built up, often with out-of-the-way buildings. Due to the gradual building up around the village, it is difficult to get out into the woods, many plots are fenced in. We stayed at the Casuta de munte, a heart-warming place to stay, with its barely touched mowed-grassland surroundings. Otherwise we had a great time, and as the two other weekend houses nearby were empty, we had a quiet and peaceful weekend. Very positive and would highly recommend this as a convenient location for the airport..6 mins drive away. The host and hostess were both very helpful -before we arrived with communicating details of how to enter even though we arrived late, and in offering a ride to the airport next morning. Great location with lake views. Amazing potential for the area. No easy access to the take, many private villas, some quite opulent and not fitting the area style / not build using the traditional style, are blocking lake access in most places, many private roads, big dogs roaming around. No hiking or biking trails, no kayaking service. A crumbling resort from the 90s waiting for a buyer... A wonderful nature with a lot of wasted potential, typical post-Communist Romania situation.
