- From $839.71 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 110 reviewsThis place gives you an awesome experience, the location could not be any better, you are just next to the top attractions of el nido, but at the same time, you are on a very private place. The hotel includes complementary tours that cover most of what you would do on El Nido, and they are very easy to be arranged and mixed with the other plans you might have. The hotel is very well maintained, clean, the stuff is very friendly. The buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner is very good, you get different type of foods every day, if you like seafood there will always be a lot of it fresh seafood too. The drinks are very good, and reasonable price. The snorkeling is a great experience, the snorkel kit they provide is good and you can spend many hours swimming around the hotel and finding great and unique fishes. It was a bit hard to plan my arrival, I suggest you contact the hotel at least 2-3 days before you arrive so they can pick you up, for the check out I was allowed to stay a bit more around the hotel and have lunch before going to the airport, unfortunately we had some problems with our flight but the hotel called me to help me and they were very helpful on that. Overall, a great experience for our honeymoon.Guest review byFranciscoChile
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 25 reviewsMy friend and I spent 4 nights at Lagen. The full experience was great from airport pick up (dedicated counter at airport) to the transfer to the island. The property has a great location; the rooms are well kept, the activities, the food, drinks but most of all the staff absolutely the best. One day we went to the big lagoon, we kayaked out way back to the boat, there were a few other boats, it was windy and there was current, somehow our kayak ended up under the proa of the hotel boat and with the waves we were afraid it would hit us in the head, another boat passed by so close and made more waves which made the situation more difficult, our Lagen guide didn’t hesitate to throw himself to the water to help us! we tried to find him later but this was the day before we checked out. Will anyone in the hotel help us find him? my friend and I are avid travelers, I live in UAE where hospitality has a high standard and to me El Nido Lagen is one of the best hotel I’ve stayed in my whole life! loved everyday of my holidayGuest review byCeciliaPeru
- From $1,406.03 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 57 reviewsThe view and location was spectacular. You’ll get the sunrise and sunset view. Plus, if you’re fortunate you can spot a black tip shark (non-aggressive) in some parts of the beach as you snorkel. Aside from these, the staff were exceptional. They were warm and helpful. Special mention to our lovely tour guides, Anton and Andrew, who took special care to our toddler so we were able to snorkel during the trips. Overall, it was a lovely experience and you will definitely go back here.Guest review byJonaPhilippines

The beach is amazing, the tents are beautiful, huge and surprisingly comfortable, the staff is super helpful and friendly. Rica, Abby and Vina, just to mention a few of them, were always there to help. And a pleasant surprise, both days they had great live music at the restaurant. There is a shared bathroom with two other tents, but it was no problem at all.Guest review byEduardoBrazil

I really enjoyed town, but nacpan and duli area also nice places to stay! Lio is another nice spot to stay. Town is good if you like going out to eat, and see a lot of things But staying in lio, nacpan or duli is also nice if you want a more peaceful, quiet time. even sibaltan would be nice (check out the manta rays if you dive)Guest review byAnonymousPhilippines - 8.0

We didnt spend a lot of time in the Puerto itself sadly, given our resort was 90 minutes away but we made a couple of day trips and Puerto seems more relaxed & laid back than most cities in the Philippines with plenty of activities.Guest review byJulianQatar - 10.0

The calamian group of islands of which Coron is part of, is beautiful. And I hope all the measures to keep it pristine and unlittered will be successful always. There are many breathtaking sights. You would need a sizable budget though to be able to enjoy the boat tours which are wonderful. If you have the time, visit Culion. It is historical (a UNESCO site), and while the places to see could do a little tidying up, nevertheless, the history of that place invites reflection and inspires--many heroic people lived on that island. Kudos to the religious who have kept the place going since it was first established. The Culion museum should be your first stop.Guest review byGuiaPhilippines - 10.0
Absolutely!
Absolutely! San Vicente really flies under the radar compared to El Nido and Coron, but that’s part of its charm. It’s less crowded, more laid-back, and still boasts those stunning, unspoiled beaches—especially the 14-kilometer Long Beach, which feels like a hidden gem. The slower pace and warm, genuine hospitality from the locals really give it that authentic "island life" vibe. It’s perfect for people looking to relax, connect with nature, and avoid the more tourist-heavy scenes. Some even say it’s what El Nido felt like 10 or 15 years ago.Guest review bycesznadz39Philippines - 10.0

Every day I walked from the hotel to Sabang wharf on the beach and on one day had coffee, adobo and itlog in a small cafe there. Everyone was very friendly, and I bought some Pasalubong, when they did not have my tee shirt size, they went to another shop to get it for me and to get change when I gave them 1000 peso note. I asked directions to the falls, but no one was exactly sure where it was or how long it would take to get there. The place was secure (police station at the wharf and coastguard and army regularly on patrol in the area. I eventually found the park that a friend recommended (5 km from the hotel) and had an excellent buffet lunch there twice and again they made Chester very welcome, the park was free and had some interesting, recycled artworks and a tribute to the devastation in the area by Typhoon Odette- well worth a visit. Also visit Buenavista viewpoint- the local community run it and you can get Buko juice, coffee, snacks and Pasalubong plus take great photos of the bayGuest review byNeil in BahrainPhilippines - 10.0
If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit,...
If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit, put this one on your list. It's relatively uncrowded, the people are very pleasant and the vistas are jaw dropping. If you are a diver, and have an interest in WWII, you will find an incredible 11 Japanese wrecks to dive. I'd recommend Pirate Divers, they are very professional and very conservative when it comes to evaluating risks. They also know the wrecks like their second home. Coron is a bustling town with good food and pleasant people, but the beauty of the island is the back country. I liked it enough in December that I'm returning in February. To get around, I'd suggest renting a scooter. If you are new to powered two wheel vehicles stay out of Coron, and pay attention to the roads, there are some surprisingly tight turns. Otherwise, since it is relatively uncrowded you should be fine.Guest review byJimUnited States - 6.0

If you intend to visit Palawan you need to be more informed than I was. The Philippines are a poor country. Accommodation is cheap and as such you get what you paid for - No hot water, some cockroaches, you cannot swim in the water because of the jellyfish, plenty of sandflies and no shop to get any relief medication. There is no way to move around unless you organize transfers that cost you as much as your accommodation. A must see if you would like to see the culture. We were unable to snorkel due to weatherGuest review byKimAustralia - 10.0

El Nido has so many fun things to do, and we liked that while there were a plentitude of tourist options, we were not separated from local culture and activities that sometimes happens in other places. We were only there for four days, and we could have stayed another week. The beaches are beyond stunning, both the ones you can walk to and the ones that need a boat. The snorkeling was fantastic, the food options endless, and the vibe was chill and fun.Guest review byMaryUnited States - 4.0

Worst public ride rates, not regulated, mostly a rip-off. The streets are unsafe with so many potholes, no street cleaners to keep the dust away. I appreciate the vehicles stopping when a person crosses the street.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Rooms are spacious, big selection if breakfast, friendly hotel staff. Infinity pool is okay, could have a bit deeper though. The other pool is undergoing refurbishment. Island hoping are a must to do. We ate in the town where they served fresh sea food.I think its called Island boy Grill. Outside the hotel the tricycle ride are ideal to get round Coron town proper for merely 30 pesos.Guest review byAlma
