- From US$145.73 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 563 reviewsBasically everything. Please do note though that this Booking site both contains the Moana and the Sunset Hill premises as well. The Moana is near the ocean, in Sunset Hill (which we had rented) lies 100 m farther - no big deal. Do note also that the downstairs rooms can get quite humid easily, so the air conditioner is a welcome thing. But besides that, this is THE bang for buck thing if you do not want to spend all your money on overwater bungalows. The most important thing, and I think, an advantage, is that since you are at the heart of Vaitape, you REALLY experience Bora Bora - not what a big hotel chain presents you as Bora Bora. AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCE. Shops, foodtrucks, pharmacy is easily reachable. But the best thing is that your hosts take you THERE AND BACK to Matira beach - which, put it simply, is the greates beach on Planet Earth :) If you plan to save money by making your meals for yourself, and get in touch with real Bora Bora, think no more about your accomodation - you've just found it. You can use the private dock at Moana - it is deep, deep blue, but we saw our first wishes - wonderful ones! - here. So basically you get a private lagoone connection, too.Guest review bySzabinaHungary
- From US$1,847.65 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 585 reviewsReally lovely garden room. We stayed in the best overwater villa on the resort first so we were worried moving to a garden villa after would be disspointing after such an amazing water villa but we were very surprised! The garden villas are spacious with a big private patio/garden. You don't get the same privacy in a water villa! It was very beautiful and relaxing and of course the use a private pool is amazing. We also noticed the pool was a lot warmer than the water villas and obviously not as much breeze either.Guest review byCarolineUnited Kingdom
- From US$1,075.29 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 872 reviewsBeautiful overwater bungalow, Mai Tai builds a reef under the bungalows an over the beach which is beautiful to snorkel at. The staff were great, very nice, helpful, and informative. The location was great, a walking distance from Matira beach, the only sandy beach on Bora Bora main island. We saw a couple of sting rays below our bungalow. We received great hospitality since we came and until we left. Irina the Mai Tai's driver is wonderful.Guest review byTalia LevronIsrael
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 49 reviewsYou can't get more Robinson Crusoe feeling... it was by far one of the most special stays we have ever had. The view of Bora Bora, the solitude and the natural life. To sum it up: It was a dream and we will definitely be back. Thank you Tea, Tatiana and Joël 😃Guest review byDennisGermany

Bora Bora is a slice of paradise.
Bora Bora is a slice of paradise. We rented a scooter for a day and saw the whole island. What was best was Rudolph at H2O was an amazing tour guide. Well worth the money. The waters are amazing colours and warm. Temperature perfect. People were nice and friendly. Had some great meals.Guest review byDorisNew Zealand - 10.0
Our favourite place was on the lagoon.
Our favourite place was on the lagoon. We hired a pontoon boat and spent a day on the water, one of the best experiences was snorkelling, swimming and relaxing. It was great. Lots of different fish, coral gardens and many sea life. Water was crystal clear and vibrantly blues and greens. Views were endless. Swam at Matira Beach. Wish I could go back there. Restaurants were good and plentiful - we ate at Lucky House and Maitai Restaurants.Guest review byTracyAustralia - 10.0
Going to Matira Beach is a must.
Going to Matira Beach is a must. Have a drink or sunset at the Bora Bora Beach Club that's right on the beach. Go on a boat tour to a Motu (an islet) and snorkeling (ask for DiDi the boat captain).Guest review bychristianUnited States
