We enjoyed The Restaurante Bar El Pirata and Buena Vista both of which had excellent seafood and were on the water and the oceanfront scenery is beautiful. We enjoyed taking a boat around the islands. Getting around can be a challenge due to construction but the taxis are great. Every time that I go now the town in a certain way it's getting a little bit more indigenous if I can say so, so let me explain. In the past probably 8-10 years or so, the government is assigning property to the Cunas, that are the indigenous people of Panama, because at a certain point, they took it from them, so now Changinola is basically one of the areas where indigenous peoples are being "relocated". With that said, it's not a place that you're going to find a lot of museums or art or regular cultural activities nor a lot of things like that, but you can find places with great food options. Bocas Town offers many services (supermarkets, pharmacy, cafes) and seaside hotels with cafe-bars around well-designed docks.
