- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 322 reviewsA wonderful place to stay! Very clean and comfy rooms, absolutely delicious dinner (one of the best of our namibian trip) and breakfast, friendly owners and staff. The view is just awsome in all directions. The afternoon drive to see the local wildlife and the big cats is really interesting and impressive, don't miss it. Wish we had time to stay longer than just 1 night! Oh, and the drive to the lodge is perfectly fine, I guess the bad reviews are from people at the really beginning of their trip through Namibia...when you experience other C and D roads, this is a smooth and easy one in comparison.Guest review byLauraCzech Republic
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 438 reviewsEverything ! The location in the middle of the nature reserve of Okonjima was wonderful ! Seeing animals (giraffes, zebras, springboks) when you arrive at the hotel is great, the rooms were spacious and quiet to let the voice of the nature take over. The view from our room over the plain and sunrise with giraffes was incredible :) We ate very well (vegan options) and the service was top notch ! Thanks to Martin (reserve guide) for taking us to see leopards and zebras and more - it's something I'll never forget ! I recommend to stay more than 1 nightGuest review byAlexiaFrance
- From US$281.57 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 141 reviewsThe chalet was superb, much better than expected with a beautifully decorated interior. I especially loved the bathroom tiles with their African theme. The chalet comprises a bedroom, bathroom and a sitting room with a balcony and a view of the bush. All facilities are available in a well appointed room. The food, both for dinner and breakfast, is of a high standard. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It all made for an extremely pleasant stay at the Cheetah Conservation Foundation, a most worthy project.Guest review byDavidAustralia
- From US$81.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,818 reviewsWe loved our one night stay at Out of Africa Town Lodge! It's a perfect stop between Windhoek and Etosha park. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was much bigger than we expected, the beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was in good condition. The swimming pool is ideal for an afternoon swim. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. A plus for us was the secured parking and the fridge in the room, since we were camping the other days of our vacation.Guest review byAnthonissenBelgium

Otjiwarongo Railway Station with a locomotive worked between 1912-1960 is a real attraction. We visited the Cultural Center where 14+ children have the opportunity of dancing, playing on instruments, painting, drawing and so on after the school. Also we visited the Multi-Purpose Help Centre, where Monica Tjehiua presented the goals of the MPHC, which -for instance- feed the poor children, and organize lots of programs for the disabled persons, supporting old people. From Otjiwarongo it's quite easy to reach the Cheetah Foundation (40-45 km) and the Waterberg Plateau Game Reserve (80 km) as well.Guest review byEndreHungary - 10.0
This is a perfect halfway house from Etosha to Windhoek.
This is a perfect halfway house from Etosha to Windhoek. We left Etosha to travel south, visiting the Cheetah Conservation Foundation at Otjiwarongo and then enjoying a relaxed dinner and evening at Out of Town Africa Lodge. Our stay was perfect. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was relaxed, we were not the early birds, but we were not rushed away by the staff. I highly recommend this little gem of a town and place to stay.Guest review byRachaelSouth Africa
