Great room, very clean, nice terrace and bikini beach and restaurants really close. And we really enjoyed our stay here because of the amazing team and their good work on hospitality. Everyone was super helpful and nice all the time. Snorkeling gear and a orientation snorkeling was included and we booked one of the many excursions they offer which was amazing too. Can absolutely recommend this place if you come to mahibadhoo.

Everything is absolutely clean, the staff is nice and the breakfast is rich. The hotel is a short walk from the beach. Free pick-up from the boat and back to the pier. I recommend it.

I had the pleasure of staying at Sands Grand Hotel with my wife, and I must say, it was an experience beyond expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a level of hospitality that made us feel instantly welcomed. The hotel's location is perfect. The decor is tastefully done. Every detail, from the unique lobby is thoughtfully designed to provide an inviting atmosphere. Our room was a sanctuary of comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with soft linens that made it hard to get up in the morning. The room was unique and impeccably clean. Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a culinary delight. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, all prepared with the freshest ingredients. Each meal was a feast for the senses, and the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to accommodate any request. The hotel also offers a range of activities and excursions, ensuring there's never a dull moment. What truly sets Sands Grand Hotel apart is their exceptional service. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. The accommodation was spotlessly clean. It is ideally located near the bikini beach but another local beach is also nearby. Breakfast is huge and certainly caters for a variety of tastes. We also opted for Dinner there also. Again it was varied each evening and very filling. Certainly excellent value for money, beautifully cooked by Noor. The dining area is very pleasant communal area with tea & coffee freely available. There was a real team effort creating a really friendly and welcoming environment with a real effort to ensure that everything that we needed was attended to. Nothing was too much trouble from picking up & dropping off at the ferry to early ‘out of hours breakfasts. Any questions we had Noor knew the answer. A fabulous stay, I would highly recommend! Thank you.

The property was close to the beach and the rooms were clean. The two girls working there clean up the rooms every day. The breakfast was good, we also eat dinner one night there, we ordered fish(it was huge) and was really tasty and it was only 10$/person. Also the host was really nice and helpful. I would 1000000% recommend this property.

Staff is the best ever! Amazing people, with whom we shared 11 fantastic days! We became friends with Isha (Ikko), Liv, grandma, Siro, Ali, Nade and pretty much everyone else - cooks, cleaning staff etc. (apologies for mistyping or forgetting to mention your names :)). They helped us so much and made our stay a dream come true! During our stay thanks to the excursions Perla organized for us we saw and swam multiple times with whale sharks, mantas, turtles, pods of dolphins, sting rays and also swam with nurse sharks and went to a beautiful shipwreck for snorkelling. On top of that they sent us amazing go pro footage from the excursions for free! We saw local traditions and sampled exotic food during a local festival and it all felt like being part of one big family. We went for a day to a fancy resort nearby but honestly, we would recommend Perla over any modern resort as in Perla Dhangethi you have everything you need on an exotic local island for the fraction of the price one would have to pay at a resort and as a bonus you meet so many cool people from around the world! We will definitely come back soon!

    The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life.

    The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.

    An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

    I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. There's a lot of nice restaurants and there was no day I felt bored.

    We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄 The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. I don’t recommend the visit to the local island, nothing to see there We absolutely recommend

    It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there...

    It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there was disappointing compared to my previous trips in other resorts. The quality of service is poor and it’s a shame because the resort is lovely and the staff are nice but lack professionalism.

    It is a small enough island to walk around.

    It is a small enough island to walk around. The locals are extremely friendly - always saying hello. There are 3 restaurants all along the west coast. Compass seems most popular. But all are good with same offering of food. There is a fair amount of building going on at the moment as they gear up for more tourists. We used South Ari Dive for our diving trips. They are professional and friendly.

    You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than...

    You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways. Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants. Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type. Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out. Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got. Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.

    A Wonderful Beach Holiday.

    A Wonderful Beach Holiday. Necessary structure: shops and cafes are available. The ability to pay with a bank card, as well as in cash (USD, MVR). Good exchange rate in all places. I was pleased with both Mathiveri and Mathiveri Finholu: the beaches are clean, the sand does not burn your feet, and there is a comfortable "coolness" in the shade of the trees.

    This resort is a nice isolated intimate island, staff is very kind and welcoming, rooms are nice, clean. tidy and spacious, well equipped and services twice a day. Food is mediocre. Activities and attractions are limited - scuba diving is great, the rest of the excursions and watersports are below average and highly priced for the what you get. Our overall conclusion is "insufficient value for money" I have rated it as 4/5 because we've enjoyed our time, but almost any spot at the Maldives is enjoyable with no much effort required from the resort
