Big green parks, vineyards on the slopes, friendly people, beautiful lake with ducks and white swans. Interesting to find a small vine in front of most garages or front doors where we walked. Not many cars so it was easy to walk everywhere. Easy to get around as public transport is free and you just have to check the time table of the bus routes. The Peking Duck, fried rice and fried noodles are delicious at White Swan, the beef is mouth watering. The Italian restaurant on the left serves good Italian food. We met friends in Remich where we ate great pizzas. And we went wine tasting and walked on the bridge which connects with Germany. 😊Guest review bySiow LuMauritius - 10.0
Luxembourg has so much to offer.
Luxembourg has so much to offer. Take advantage of the free transportation. You may have to rent a car to get to more remote locations; like Vianden Castle or Mullerthal. Mettlach is a charming small town in Germany with many good shops. The church is also impressive. There are a lot of very nice hikes easily accessible from there offering tranquility and interesting landscape alongside the river Saar, for example. It's a wonderful place.
It's a wonderful place. Luxembourg City itself can be explored in a day or two, so if you're planning a longer stay, be sure to rent a car and explore the rest of this magnificent country. Luxembourg City is beautiful, clean, and safe. It's worth walking around the impressive fortifications, seeing the cathedral, the ducal palace (open in summer), and the beautiful townhouses. This is an upscale spa where guests can go to get away from it all and get pampered in a variety of ways with excellent food and all the necessary comforts. We used it as our home base to see family and attend the Formula 1 at Spa Franchorchamps.
