VietnamOur stay at Art Yala Boutique Resort was absolutely wonderful! Muda and his team went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The food was amazing, and the location is simply stunning—perfect for a relaxing getaway.
One of the highlights of our stay was the safari into Yala National Park that Muda organised for us. It was a seamless and memorable experience. The team’s thoughtfulness didn’t stop there—they even helped us book a restaurant at our next destination, which was incredibly helpful and kind.
We stayed for two nights and genuinely wished we had stayed longer. Thank you, Muda and team, for such a fantastic experience. We can’t wait to come back!

They were in touch with us since the day we booked
their accommodation. Host picked us from bus
stop when we arrived to city. In the evening owner
joined with us for a evening walk. He brought us to
a place to see more than thousand fruit bats in the
evening by their own vehicle. On the way back we
went to see a very rare owl at a secret place. They
offered us all of these free of charge and when we
leaving they dropped us to the bus station also. The
hospitality was amazing and the best hospitality we
ever had. Absolutely they are doing
more than a five stars hotel. The price also very
reasonable and we couldn't understand how they
offer such a service for a very cheap price. For the
dinner also owner dropped us to main city by their
vehicle. About the room it was very clean There is
a beautiful garden with lots of flowers and fishes
The place is ideal for bird lovers. Located infront of
a beautiful lake with beautiful flowers. Could see
crocodile also in the lake. They offered us a super
fresh juice when we arrived. Again a black coffee in
the evening. They packed our breakfast for the
safari at 4 am. It was very helpful. We did a safari
with hotel. e had the best guide and driver. He
gave us lots of information about the park and
animals. They recommended us the full day safari
and we did. It was a correct decision. We were
lucky to see two leopards and all other animals. We
had a very delicious Sri Lankan Rice and Curry for
the lunch with fresh fruits. Unfortunately the prices
of entrance tickets increased by government few
months ago. But we understood it's out of control
by host and safari service. Absolutely they are the
best for safari. This is the best hotel and kindful
hosts we alever met on our tour.

ThailandWord cannot express how grateful we are to Nalin and Isharni for welcoming us into their home during Sinhalese New Year. Staying at Black Panther Yala was the absolute highlight of our two weeks in Sri Lanka. It was such a special weekend where we learnt/ate traditional food (e.g. oil cake), participated in the rituals and traditions and met the neighbours and relatives. The room was comfortable and the food delicious. Dinner included is such a rare treat. The location is lovely, set next to the wetlands. You can borrow bike and ride around the area. We did a safari through a driver that our host recommended and it was amazing. I would highly recommend Black Panther to anyone!

CanadaAs many others have commented what really makes this place so special is the incredible kindness and generosity of Randi and his family. His pride in his home area is evident in all that he shares, and we loved that he showed us around his village and surrounding area. When we first arrived he asked what we were interested in and then suggested a program that met those interests. The room was spotlessly clean, the meals were delicious and plentiful, and the location by the lake is lovely - you can take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the many beautiful birds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

GreeceEverything. The place is amazing inside, very quiet and peaceful. The host is more than a beautiful person, so friendly, caring, and always responsive.
I arrived yo another hotel by mistake since they have similar names and she called me to ask when I will be there. I explained to her that I got confused and I was in the wrong place and she had so much understanding about the situation and got worried that something may have happened to me. The hospitality of this place is just unique.
The room was exactly as the pictures shown. Spacious, super clean, clean sheets and big bathroom, all new constructed and in perfect condition. There was a balcony with a wonderful view in the forest, coffee, a kettle, and cups to have your coffee im the morning, laundry service, food delivery at your room, and a fridge.
There was hot water, very rare in Sri lanka, good water pressure, and place to hand your towels and things on the bathroom.
WIFI was good, considering that you are in a Forrest and you can book the safari with them, better do it through your host they know they best guides!!
Overall, it'd one of the best places I have stayed world-wide and with better quality and service from most of the 4 and 5* hotels I have been to, with a very reasonable price.

Kataragama itself is a temple town and that’s pretty much it. Other than that it’s a jumping off point for safari in yala and kumana. One day is more than enough for cultural/religious aspects. The Perahara (pageant) in July is fantastic. Be warned that it may not start till midnight and may need pre booked tickets. Also watch out for pickpockets in crowded areas around this time. The country side and the rural life as well as the wildlife is fantastic and authentic. Quite hot and sunny year round but dec to feb is more comfortable.Guest review byumeshSri Lanka - 10.0

A great place to stay and would definitely recommend. Large comfortable room close to the pool, with restaurant and plenty of cold beer. We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble. This location is especially convenient during the rainy season, as it often stays dry even when the rest of the country is experiencing thunderstorms. The owner of Serenity lake advices us to visit Yala safari, Sithul pawwa magul viharaya and sithul pawwa a super history with beautiful scenery, which we did and we're very grateful for his advice. We returned to the serenity lake to have lunch before heading off. Requested for a village kind of lunch with the local veggies and it was served on a lotus leaf... The most delicious meal it was. It definitely is an experience worth trying. The tree house has all the comforts you need but yet kept on the simple side. Don't expect much and you will get a lot. Nice food Bbq and big fire lit for you in the evening to give you a chance to relax and talk about your day activities. It was great to be left alone and the silence of the night. We were extremely satisfied with the hotel and its beautiful surroundings. Everything exceeded our expectations. We took lots of photos & are sharing them with friends. The restaurants,Roof bar,Spa's and the pool side and pool is world class with out doubt! The service was outstanding, and that is something that can really make or break a vacation. Congratulations to the Super Proactive General Manager Mr Krishanta Damunupola and his team members to include Mr Seeman and Miss Sandani(Intern) for being so accommodating at all times with oodles of dedication. We also especially liked the super-comfy room with the balcony, bed linens which were very high quality, and felt so good to slip into each night.
