RussiaHard to specify what we liked most. We liked AKI VILLA! The location is 30 minutes walk from most hotels in Pasikuda but for us it was good with not many people around. The facility is very well maintained, it is very green. Lots of mango, coconut trees and palms on the territory. The pool is warm, very clean and welcoming :) We had breakfasts included - it was Sri Lankan type, very tasty and it was enough till dinner in the evening. Dinners we had there were one the best meals we ever had. So tasty. The lady that cooks all meals is fantastic. We even asked for some recipies.
Beach - should I say- empty beach is just 7 minutes walk from villa. Most likely you will be accopanied by two lovely dogs from villa. And they will guard you as well if someone tries to come close to you.
The staff - Mr. Vinod was extremely helpful, he helped us to get a medicine from local pharmacy, gave us a tent for the beach and tried to fullfill our every smallest wish. So if you want to have calm and peaceful time it is definately the place.

RussiaIt is with great pleasure that I leave a review about the Sunrise Pasikuda Hotel! My family and I spent a wonderful 11 days-I didn't want to leave! The two-room family room turned out to be very large and comfortable: 2 bathrooms, a bathroom, comfortable ergonomic mattresses, clean linen, all(!) possible accessories for personal care and hygiene, coffee and tea in the mini-bar, which was replenished in the morning and evening, room cleaning 2 times a day, a spacious terrace with comfortable outdoor furniture, views of the beach and tropical park.
Two small two-storey buildings of the hotel are located on the huge green territory of Sunrise Pasikuda Park, with giant palm trees and many other trees and plants, which adjoins a wide beach with snow-white sand. One of the best beaches we've ever seen. The beach is snow-white, spacious with a very hospitable ocean! The entrance to the ocean is on fine sand and a shallow bottom, without waves, which allows you to swim all day in peace. The part of the beach belonging to Sunrise Pasikuda has comfortable sun beds with soft mattresses and towels, which are kindly provided by the hotel. Sprawling trees with a vast and dense crown serve as a real salvation from the midday sun – thanks to the hotel staff for taking care of these beautiful trees.
There is also a huge swimming pool on the territory of the hotel, which extends throughout the park: from the hotel buildings to the coastline. Fresh shower. Delicious breakfasts in the lobby restaurant. From the usual omelets to Ceylon exotics; an abundance of pastries, tropical fruits and freshly squeezed juices.
We really want to thank all the staff of the hotel! The management of the hotel, the staff of the restaurant, the beach, the rooms, the gardeners, the reception. You have given us an unforgettable, wonderful experience! We did everything possible to solve our everyday problems and at the same time left the opportunity to be alone with our family and our journey.

Anything I needed was provided....I just asked. I was even able to use the fridge.
Rooms are spacious and super clean.Resort is super safe and monitored by security cameras .
I slept really well,there was no noise to disturb me.
I highly recommend this property. It's fantastic value.
Fishing and boating is possible also.

New ZealandAmazingly clean large modern hotel. A real quite peaceful spot. Dinner and breakfast were offered as its 2km to town and 2 km to the beach. A luxury feel resort without the huge price. Big pool, white fluffy towels, enormous bed. The assistant manger was always around to help. Great oasis on a travellers list.

(September 2024) The hotel rooms were modern and spacious, providing a comfortable stay. They also have a dedicated water sports section that offered exciting Jet Ski rides and a snorkeling trip to the nearby "Kayankerni" Coral Reef for a reasonable additional cost. Snorkeling was an amazing first-time experience for both my wife and me, and it was impressive that even some 5-star hotels do not have a water sports center like this one. The hotel features a large swimming pool with a depth of 9 feet at one end, perfect for a refreshing swim. The location is ideal, with no stones or corals that could hurt your feet while enjoying the beach. Kalkudah is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka! The water here has an amazing emerald colour and it is very clean, transparent. It is a very long and beautiful sandy beach with a free natural spirit, with hardly anyone around. We enjoyed swimming almost all the day! No tourist attractions but some restaurants like Laya Waves are and Swiss Cafe on the shore are the options. Kalkudah works fine for yoga, meditation, walking along, etc. There are some cows and their manure in some spots, but it is better than plastic garbage. Some days the waves were bigger than Passikuda, but no corals on Kalkudah. Comparing to Passikuda we liked Kalkudah much better. Passikuda is over crowded with a long chain of luxury hotels and is not as beautiful. Anyway if anyone is coming with children Passikuda has shallow waters, as well as some tourists attractions. In any case, on Kalkudah one can dig a hole in the sand for children, where the ocean water will come, while making the natural baths that way.Guest review byPolinaSri Lanka - 10.0

I think the main reason to go to Pasikuda is for the beach...
I think the main reason to go to Pasikuda is for the beach which is beautiful, with white sand and clear water, and where it is safe to swim.
