Very nice and cosy hotel in Anuradhapura. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The staff super friendly and the food very good. It was one of the best Hotels we stayed in while in Sri Lanka. The atmosphere was very calm and cozy. Would definetely stay there again. :)

Super kind hosts, they were so attentive. They made us dinner even though we arrived late, they even got up at 5am to make us breakfast to bring with us on our safari. Location was great as we’re close to the safari. The room was comfortable and everything we needed. Would definitely recommend staying here!!

The accomodation is really close to Wilpattu national park. The owner of the place and the whole staff are superb. They can cook exceptional dinner for you with local flavours. They also organize full day safaris with a really enthusiastic staff for a good price (the owner of the place is a pro photographer so they are a really good option for safari if you would like to do some wildlife photography). The safari car is a jeep which is a better alternative than a pickup according to me. Of course it is not a luxury accomodation but has really good value/money ratio.

    The welcome and the service that we received were exceptional - unrivalled by any other hotel visited during three weeks in Sri Lanka. The staff were genuinely happy that we were their guest, and they were not afraid to show it. From the moment we arrived, they did everything and more to make sure that we were comfortable. The central courtyard garden lent the hotel an idyllic cosy community feel and allowed us to feel nicely isolated from the bustle of the streets outside. The pool area was scenic, the pool functional, and there were a bunch of sun beds from which to capture the sun as it moved above the tree line. One of us fell ill during our stay. The manager offered to take us to the hospital, assisted us there, and the entire team attended to us tirelessly day after day - including complimentary afternoon tea in our room. Bicycles were available to borrow to get around and see the various fascinating heritage sites - and we'd really recommend using them! Breakfast was predominantly Euro-continental, incredibly generous, and tastier than anything else we had in Sri Lanka outside of 5* hotels. Dinner was tasty too. The menu was diverse and competitively priced. Table service was exquisite. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and secure. The location was great - perfectly situated for exploring town, set back from the road so as to be silent at night, and with quick access to the lake on foot. A beautiful gaggle of peacocks graces the gardens. The hotel arranged our onward travel to Trincomalee in a comfortable car at a competitive price.

    Super nice hotel and very friendly hosts. We felt welcome from the first second. The tree houses and the area around are beautiful, there is a nice pool and a lot of things to do in Habarana. The hosts helped us with every activities, sightseeing or finding drivers. Although the prices are higher than the Sri Lankan level, you get full service and experience so that the price is legitimate for everything! We would recommend everybody to go there and enjoy the time in the nature!

    Anuradhapura is an amazing and spiritual place.

    Anuradhapura is an amazing and spiritual place. It's different from the other sites in Sri Lanka because it still attracts so many pilgrims to its religious sites. It's a good idea to dedicate one day to visiting the active pilgrimage sites and the next to the historical sites, for which you need a ticket. Remember to cover up with long trousers and sleeves and don't forget your socks, because the ground is really hot and you have to take off your shoes everywhere. If you have an extra day, you can also return to the sites at night, which is when pilgrims light candles. Make sure you've got the Pick Me app installed and look out for a tuk tuk driver called Nisha. He's absolutely amazing: great driver, kind and attentive and with good English. For dinner, the atmospheric Hotel Shalini is a good bet. The Seedevi family restaurant is another good place. If you want to have a beer, they can put you in a separate 'family' room, or you can go to the tiny 'pub' next door.

    It is one of the best locations, slightly hot and humid, but if you love history and sightseeing, you cannot miss this location, further you can travel to multiple historic locations from here, we travelled to Mihinthale Temple and Mahiyangana, the drive was scenic, but Mihinthale will take your breath.

    Beautiful jungle surrounds. Lots of activities. Safari doesn't tell you about all the extra costs involved. Entry fee big. Tip for animal spotter. The Harabana lake cruise is brilliant. No motor just a gentle paddle, allowing you get up close to wildlife
