The view from the room was very cool, and the room itself was unexpectedly nice. the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the overall setting was very cozy. The staff was very polite and apologized for the ticket thing, but that's ok! everyone makes mistakes. i don't know to write this here or not, but i got to the concert with the use of those tickets and it was the best moment of my life, so i associate your hotel with very positive emotions. Location is truly magnificent. Our rooms were like a time portal and the hotel is a grand old building with real character. Staff are friendly and informed, although you may struggle to convey some things if not speaking Japanese. Each room had a solid welcome kit. There are 3 lovely and clean onsen - the best one is reserved for men in the mornings and women in the evenings. If you like full tatami mat rooms, putting out your own futons to your own desired spot and thickness, not being disturbed in your room, and having a cute walk to the train station down a picturesque valley, this is the spot for you. It was beautiful, windswept, cold and peaceful in the valley, with the cutest train and some lovely mountains to climb right outside. It's rare to find a property with this much history and authenticity on a booking site like this and with so many minute adjustments to suit a more modern / western crowd who appreciate Japanese tradition. As a group we struggled with the sukiyaki dinner on the first night, and while other guests were served that menu on our second night we were given a different menu with modifications based on what we probably enjoyed from the first dinner. This was thoughtful and happened without us asking, and the dining room staff deserve real commendation for their efforts. Breakfast was also seemingly adjusted to suit us, and was nice and authentic. Couldn't have hoped for a better stay.

The hotel is set high on a hill overlooking Enoshima Island and Mt. Fuji. The view is, simply, stunning. The village is a quiet little seaside town, which suited us perfectly. The electric train runs along the coast, linking the little towns to Kamakura. The hotel has is a swimming pool (closed when we were there), a golf driving range next door, and a lot of sea activities, such a surfing and small boat/board sailing. It would be a great spot for a few days of R&R from whirlwind touring. The hotel offers a free bus service to and from the local station, but you can walk to anywhere in the village, where there is a (limited) range of restaurants - the food we tried was excellent. The hotel also serves meals. Our room was large and comfortable, with a good amount of clothes storage, a full-size closet, a desk/make-up space and good mirror, a coffee table and chairs, and a small balcony. The bathroom is also large, with a generous sized bathtub. Everything was sparkling clean. Reception and other staff were friendly and very welcoming; communication was easy as many spoke good English. If you decide to stay, book a landmark view room on the 4th floor. Well worth the extra price. But, be warned Fuji-san is not always in view, we had a lot of sea mist on our visit so you may only get half the view you’ve paid for.

Yokohama is a great city.

Yokohama is a great city. We took the train from Narita airport, which was easy and quick.The harbour and park areas are breathtaking We had 3 days, could have had an extra day. Transport by bus is easy with information given by the hotel and cheap. Taxis not so much! There is plenty to do and see, especially if you like walking. The New Hotel Grande is right next to Chinatown, which was great for food, but the restaurants serve a lot of cold food, so you need to specify. If you go on a cruise to or from Yokohama, stay a few days before and do heaps of sightseeing, then relax on the ship after.

Hakone is great but dont expect good weather , we couldnt see Fuji . Like so many other places on the tourist trail there are too many people there . Get off the trail , go to small towns and other islands , see a bit of real Japan rather than a crowd of tourists .

Don’t stay at an airport hotel unless you have an early am flight. Hotels are too far from amenities. Train service in Japan is so good that you can stay an extra day in Tokyo and other areas close to Tokyo and get to airport if your flight is later

Location was perfect due to being very close to the train station and that area had so many food and drink spot that was super affordable and was delicious. Staff was so friendly and professional and answered all our questions/needs. Breakfast was simple yet filling and delicious. 10/10 would/will stay here again in the future Japan trip!

Chiba is an amazing city and because Star Wars Celebration...

Chiba is an amazing city and because Star Wars Celebration 2025 was held there this year, I had to come and visit. The city is only about an hour away from Tokyo and going there from Chiba was easy to do. Locally speaking, Chiba offers many different places to eat (some of the best donuts I've ever had came from a donut shop called Uni Donuts close to the hotel I stayed at) and a cool Anime hobby store.

The Toshugo shrine was amazing and well worth the trip.

The Toshugo shrine was amazing and well worth the trip. If you travel on to Takayama I recommend seeing the one tenth scale model of the shrine complex which is almost unbelievable in its detail and precision. Nikko is quite a sleepy town and many restaurants shut very early so I recommend making a reservation. The Nikko pass is worth purchasing, we enjoyed a day sightseeing on the local buses and trains. We had an outstanding dinner at Global Table, located on the Main Street in Nikko, well worth booking this for an unforgettable experience with Chef Ishida.

We were attending a event in Kawasaki so that is why we stayed there. We didn't really do much sight-seeing in Kawasaki. We liked that the city was only a short train ride to many other cities like downtown Toyko and Yokohama. We enjoyed the many shopping and restaurants around Kawasaki Station.

Very nice city, plenty of historical sights, shopping, restaurants. Make sure it is not a national holiday though, the local train was absolutely packed! Many people make the trek to ride the nostalgic Enoden Electric Line, a fun trip along the coast but crushing crowds on a Sunday before a holiday.

We liked the room it was quite spacious.

We liked the room it was quite spacious. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was an easy bus ride from the main station and there were many restaurants nearby. The breakfast offered a lot options both Japanese and Western. The staff were very helpful finding some bus information and lending us umbrellas and adaptors.
