FAQs about hotels in Veneto
Inspiration for Artist and Architect
The Veneto offers relaxation and recreation in world-famous cities and wonderful landscapes. Words don’t do justice to its ever-serene capital Venice, a captivating maze of canals and monuments. Cheap hotels in Venice are scarce, but Mestre across the lagoon offers more budget options.
Cheap flights to Venice land in Treviso, a little version of that fabled city. Also centred on canals is beautiful Chioggia, home to several Veneto hotels on the beach. Yet more are in Caorle, near its distinctive 11th-century bell tower and waterfront church. Another family-friendly Veneto resort with a long beach is Lido di Jesolo.
In studenty Padua, Giotto’s 14th-century frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel are bursting with colour. The majestic Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza was designed by Palladio, the prolific architect whose villas and churches cover the Veneto. Romantic Verona inspired Romeo and Juliet and has an incredibly well-preserved Roman arena hosting summer opera.
Nearby Lake Garda offers many luxury hotels in the Veneto on Booking.com. By its eastern shore is the popular Gardaland theme park, the elegant Garda promenade, and the wineries of Bardolino.
Grappa was invented in riverfront Bassano del Grappa, and nearby Asolo is one of the region’s most beautiful hill towns. Belluno is overlooked by the Dolomites, while Abano Terme is a spa town by the Colli Euganei, whose undulating hills house vineyards.

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,372 reviewsA beautiful place. We have rested here with our family for 2 times already. Similar to a club hotel in Turkey, but you live in your own house with parking and all amenities (including kitchenware, dishwasher and coffee machine). There is a private beach (the price includes two sun beds and an umbrella). there is a swimming pool and a restaurant on site, a small shop. Children's animation in season. There are shops, cafes and restaurants 2 kilometers away. Also close to the historic fishing town of Chioggia.Guest review byVictoriaCzech Republic

Be prepared for lots of walking.
Be prepared for lots of walking. Whatever timescale Google Maps gives you, double it to account for the crowds (and distractions if you’re anything like us!). We’d definitely recommend walking around the sites both day and night as they’re beautiful in different lights and prebook EVERYTHING to avoid disappointment. Our highlights were: - just wandering getting lost. - a boat trip to Murano, Torcello and Burano. - climbing the bell tower on St Mark’s square (try and time this with sunset)Guest review byDaleUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A beautiful, compact and easily walkable city.
A beautiful, compact and easily walkable city. Verona is packed with lovley old buildings, historical sights and plenty of great eating and drinking places. Greppia restaurant was our favourite eating place, delicious food, great service, and friendly staff. we mostly walked around the city, as our location was excellent but the bus from the airport was great and linked in well to the local bus we used to get to where we were staying. The Arena was a bit disappointing as it was being set up for a concert so you couldn't seen everything. A tip is to get your ticket online in advance and avoid the long queue to get in - in fact, we managed to book while we were waiting in the queue and then were able to skip the line. Giardini Giusti was a highlight - beautoful gardens with a great view over the city from the top point, plus some lovely apartmentst to look around.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Although I spent most of my time in Venice, I enjoyed the casual walkable surroundings. Good coffee shops and restaurants close by. The bus into Venice took 10 minutes and ran often. The train station was also close by. Staying in Mestre was certainly less hectic than staying in Venice so it was quite enjoyable.Guest review byronUnited States - 10.0

College town with nice squares, historic buildings, museums and university without all the tourists. No big tourist groups or buses. Felt more like a real livable city with a local community. Prices for food and drinks were very reasonable relative to the more popular tourist locations.Guest review byDR Ron GUnited States - 8.0
Peschiera is a lively town at the edge of Lake Garda.
Peschiera is a lively town at the edge of Lake Garda. It has lots of shops, bars and restaurants. It offers easy access to boat trips, walks and cycle-paths, as well as other lakeside towns. It is ideal for trips further afield as the express trains stop here, allowing day-trip access to Brescia, Verona, Milan and VeniceGuest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

just behind the hotel is a strip where all the bars, shops , restaurants are located. they all appeared to be of a very high standard. great beer options. food is made to a very good standard. We went into John Martins , Mary's , Route 66 and theB. live music venue. drink and food prices reasonable. the beach is sunbeds cheek by jowl, but the hotel alocates sunbeds. very safe beach and warm meditteranian sea. use insect bite cream though due to the lagoon location.Guest review bymartinUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It's not the cheapest town in the area, and not every place has the same high standards. Lots of Olympic construction going on, both in town and all around, so watch out for delays and possible noise. But you'll get over that once you smell the air and see the views. This is the Alsager then someGuest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Really enjoyed staying in Bardolino.
Really enjoyed staying in Bardolino. Plenty of shops and spoilt for choice when it came to restaurants. It’s quite busy even late September and I wouldn’t want to go during the peak summer months for this reason but also the heat.Guest review byJeannetteUnited Kingdom - 2.0
Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice.
Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice. Nobody travels to that region to see Marghera, obviously Venice is the attraction. Our cruise was departing and returning to Marghera. This is why we stayed there.Guest review byBolshoi_HuiUK Virgin Islands - 10.0
