The setting is part of a restored 19th century farm with gardens, orchards, an Enchanted Garden, two stunning outdoor pools - everything designed for total comfort and relaxation in the Sicilian countryside. We stayed 3 nights to explore Siracusa/Ortigia, nearby towns and beautiful beaches. They grow their own organic produce which is served in the restaurant. The room was beautiful, especially the bathroom with Sicilian tiles. We enjoyed our own private patio facing a garden with citrus trees and flowering shrubs. A delightful way to start the day with a morning coffee and end it with a glass of local wine before a delicious Sicilian dinner in their restaurant. Daniela gave us recommendations for stuff to do around the area. Really beautiful and calm location! Lots of beautiful and clean beach areas around. The apartment/ house is not to big and has a really nice Terrasse for chilling outside, with little fairy lights outside for late-night talks. The archeological ruins, catacombs in Siracusa and the Jewish baths in Ortigia are all worth visiting. We spent a couple of days doing the above and the other sights and it felt about the right length of time. Beautiful beach and cliffs around the town. Unfortunately not many restaurants and option to eat. The litters are on the beach and no one cares there. Cassibile in itself is a pretty normal town.
Cassibile in itself is a pretty normal town. There are all the amenities one would expect to find - pretty much within walking distance of the property we stayed in. There are some fabulous pizzerias which are worth trying out. Syracuse is a lovely place with lots of fab restaurants, museums and art galleries. I especially enjoyed the museum of Illusions. Great fun and the girls working were wonderful. My negative about the place would be the litter, really needs attention.Guest review byceptaIreland - 8.0

I would recommend the area for a short trip for the beach. In truth, we didn't venture anywhere else other than the villa and the beach as we went there for a change away from the cities we were visiting, but there didn't seem to be a lot to do in the area besides that anyway.
