Everything! The host is amazing, the welcoming was like we are the only ones they are waiting. The rooms are so beautiful with windows over Tuscany fields, but you are still located in the centre of a small city. Enjoyed every day staying over there and can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Borgo San Luigi for our honeymoon, and it was nothing short of magical. Nestled amidst the beauty of nature, this charming retreat provided the perfect backdrop for our special getaway. Our spacious and impeccably clean room instantly put us at ease, and the luxurious bathroom was an unexpected delight. From the moment we checked in, the staff displayed the utmost professionalism and warmth, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. Their thoughtful touches included offering fantastic recommendations for nearby wine tasting, allowing us to truly immerse ourselves in the local culture. A highlight of our stay was dining at La Bianca Restaurant. It was an elite culinary experience, with gourmet dishes that delighted our taste buds, and the service was nothing short of exceptional. Overall, our stay at Borgo San Luigi exceeded our expectations in every way, and we can't wait to return in the future. Our stay at Locanda Le Piazze was nothing short of enchanting – a place so special, so serene, that we ended up postponing our flight home just to stay longer. And even that felt too short. The entire property is an absolute dream. Every corner feels like a scene from a fairytale – lovingly designed, full of charm, and inviting you to pause, breathe, and simply enjoy. The views over the Tuscan hills and surrounding vineyards are breathtaking, with golden light and rolling landscapes stretching as far as the eye can see. It’s hard to imagine a more magical setting. The atmosphere is one of peaceful elegance. Whether walking through the gardens, relaxing by the pool, or enjoying a quiet moment under the trees, there’s a sense of stillness that feels both grounding and luxurious. It’s a place where time slows down – in the best possible way. The team at Locanda Le Piazze deserves the highest praise. The staff were exceptionally warm, professional, and always went the extra mile with a genuine smile. There’s a special kind of hospitality here – a perfect blend of attentiveness and heart that made us feel truly welcome from the very first moment. Our room was beautiful – spacious, serene, and tastefully furnished, with every comfort thoughtfully considered. And the food? Exquisite. Every dish we had was a celebration of flavor, quality, and creativity. Dining here is an experience in itself. We’re deeply grateful to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. Locanda Le Piazze has captured our hearts – we’re already looking forward to coming back.

After reading some questionable reviews, we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this accomodation was. Our room itself was large, clean, air conditioned and what appeared like a newly renovated bathroom. The room was cleaned daily. While some fixtures are clearly older than others, it was part of the charm. They had great options for experiences hosted on site which allowed us to experience all we had hoped for by staying in the gorgeous Tuscan countryside. We personally loved the BBQ hosted on the Friday night which was a surprising touch. The food was amazing, accompanied by a beautiful bottle of their wine and live music. The wine tasting and cooking class were also great. Pool area was clean and great spot for relaxing. We are from Australia and would go out of our way to come back to this beautiful accomodation.

Everything. It's a stunning, history filled place. After our check-out we stayed for an additional couple of hours to explore the breathtaking estate. The room was nice, the building is older and you would assume that the rooms would be old, but no, they were beautifully done, you have everything you need. The staff were also so friendly (it looks like they enjoy working in this beautiful place). We arrived late, but they had no issue waiting for us. The breakfast was very tasty and the balcony where we had it was lovely. The garden and the estate are just gorgeous. Thank you for such an experience ❤️

I have been to Tuscany more times than I can count. This is my first time stopping in and staying in Colle di Val d'Elsa. The location is very close to all the major sites in Tuscany. Volterra and San Gimignano are extremely closeby as well as Chianti. There is a charm to the old town area of Colle di Val d'Elsa, not a ton of tourists like the other sites in the area.

Fantastic little town with tonnes of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The museum ticket is great value as it gets you into lots of the historic sights. We enjoyed the weaponry exhibit as you were allowed to hold and try on the different artefacts which was cool! We parked nearby and paid with card on exit (only line up at the ticket machine if you’re paying cash). The onsite wine shop (connected to the popular winery near by) was delicious too. Would definitely recommend this town for people to visit and dine at!

The place feels like a little castle, full of charm and character. The hosts were incredibly kind and waited for us until late at night to give us the keys and explain everything about the surroundings. Breakfast was nice, and everyone we met was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The view is absolutely outstanding. There are also plenty of great restaurants nearby for dinner, which made our evenings even more enjoyable. We didn’t use the pool since it was already out of season and quite cold.

San Casciano is remote in the beautiful Tuscan Hills, although just 40 minutes slow drive to Florence The hotel is 7 minutes outside the town, so walking is difficult. Need a car to go anywhere. Taxis are not available. This hotel is pretty good, but the much-acclaimed restaurant is, at best, just above average and pricey. Claims to be "special" but isn't! Terrace dining is romantic but watch the wasps in the daytime and mosquitos in the evening. Swmming pool fairly small and crowded. Grounds are pristine and lots of lovely bougainvillea. Reception staff smile a lot. Huge carpark!

This place was incredible. The property was beautiful and so well kept. The owner, Alex, could t have done more to make sure we were comfortable in our stay and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He was really friendly, great with our kids and made us feel like we were at home. The rooms were so well decorated, the beds comfy and Alex had great recommendations for exploring the area nearby.
