Milan is a cosmopolitan city with many cultural offerings.
Milan is a cosmopolitan city with many cultural offerings. Its people are welcoming, informative and eager to share its past. Subway trains are very easy to navigate. The city is very walkable. It has excellent dining especially in the surrounding neighborhoods. Shy away from those close to the Duomo areas, as they are over priced and poor quality.Guest review byRobertUnited States - 8.0

Very pretty city, but keep in mind that the historic centre is quite a steep uphill walk. The new city centre is very fun to explore as well! Pretty, good local food, lots of history to explore and if you want a lot of shops as well.Guest review byMaxNetherlands - 10.0

A beautiful place with numerous restaurants and cafés :) Also ideal as a base for exploring other towns on Lake Garda. For those travelling without a car, it is easily accessible by public transport :) It is worth taking a 25-minute motorboat trip, which offers amazing views, and also visiting the Grotte di Catullo :)Guest review byEwelinaPoland - 10.0
Really easy to get to from Verona airport.
Really easy to get to from Verona airport. Beautiful views of the Lake and quick to get to Sirmione which is stunning but can get really busy with tourists. Desenzano town is lovely, lots of eateries, pretty streets, friendly people and beautiful views. The market on a Tuesday was really good, nice to walk around. Many things eg the castle etc are closed on a Monday. I was there 2.5 days which felt enough for me. This included a day in Sirmione. I explored the main sites and then spent a day in Verona on the way home, well worth a day trip or visit.Guest review byAnnaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Having spent 311 nights in Limone you must understand that we like it and the surrounding north Lake Garda area. Last year it was selected as the most superb flower decorated town in Italy and at the international competition won the top five 'petals' in it's category of small resorts. The winter population is 1200 people but usually busy with visitors from the end of April till mid October. The only criticism this year is that I detected a cigarette end on some steps! Standards are slipping but the Mayor, Il Sindaco, was quite distressed. If in doubt just go and you will not be disappointed.Guest review byDuncanUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Hotel easy to find although there was some confusion at the airport as to where the free airport shuttle bus left from but perhaps the driver was just having an off day. The room was well equipped and spacious but we had no hot water in the morning. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff were very helpful and friendlyGuest review byMargaretUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Bellagio is the most beautiful town on Lake Como!
Bellagio is the most beautiful town on Lake Como! Many great restaurants and shopping. Great views of the lake. Ferry terminal that provides easy access to Ferry system. Now, having said that, the town is relatively small, so 2-3 days in Bellagio would be enough to explore just this town. If you are planning on exlporing the other towns on the Lake ( which you absolutely sbould do) Bellagio is a great "center" for that activity and then you should extend to 4-5 days. Best restaurants we visited, Gioia in the Hotel Du Lac..Suisse right on the main plaza, the restuarant in the Grand Hotel Belloni right in town ( check spelling) and Punta, with view of the lake.Guest review byRichardUnited States - 10.0

There's so much to do in the area. we went summer skiing at the glacier (Stelvio), which was ok (lots of long lines for the button lifts because of the hundreds of ski club teams). But the nearby QC Terme Bagni Vecchi was amazing. Would like to have stayed longer for hiking and mountain biking. Very nice little town and beautfil surroundings.Guest review byLu KoUnited Kingdom
